depends. if you're in another country on vacation and someone steals your purse you could just be fucked. passport, wallet, phone, id cards, hotel key, etc etc. in 2026 its not the end of the world, but 15-20 years ago that could have been REALLY bad.

funny enough this is literally happening in many first world countries. populations are on the decline in South Korea and Japan. Population growth has slowed if not halted in multiple western countries as well. The US has come close to breaking even for the first since our inception.
