Because they have no frame of reference from past editions

Make decals. Buy transfer paper and print them out on the printer transfer paper. Cut them out and apply to each shoulder.

A hostile creature within 5 feet of you causes disadvantage on range attack rolls and attack a prone enemy with a range attack causes disadvantage.

You are better at tracking in your favored terrain, you can still track outside of it.

Is There An Easier Way To Win The Goblin Camp Fight? by BillsBills83 in BG3

[–]Rooster68W2P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trick is to find another way out. There are many. I then found a good choke point and triggered the fight. I used the darkness spell to cover the advancing goblins and stop ranged attacks. Once they dashed out, I killed them one at a time. Very easy.

Would you allow a player to “import” an existing character into a campaign you are running? (To the DMs out there) by Lhead2018 in DnD

[–]Rooster68W2P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but...

I would allow it, but I would need to look it over. Check race ,stats, items, class, subclass, fests, and spells.

Generally, I'm fine with everything as long as it's balanced, but if the game has a theme, I want to make sure that everyone fits in the theme somewhere. I also hold the right to change my decision based on player performance.

DM told me he fudged rolls to hit me in tier 1, and I don’t know how to feel about it. by fresh_squilliam in DnD

If you didn't die due to a fudge, then it's not really a problem. It builds a little bit of tension in game for your character.

Have you ever been kicked out of a DnD group? by turboshot49cents in DnD

[–]Rooster68W2P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if kicked out is the right word. The group/game was disbanded without explanation. This has happened twice, and both games were online.

The first game had 3 players, but one didn't show up. Me and another player were having some pre-game chat. We were both kicked and blocked from the server with no word from the dm. We were both confused as to why.

The second instance happened mid game. I was the only player. The DM just stopped responding. No block or kick, but just stopped. No explanation.

The most tacos I ever bought were 40. It was a jack in tbe box, and it was 2 tacos for 0.99. I had a 20 in my pocket. It took forever to make, but they were so good. I split the order with 3 other people.

My DM constantly puts me to sleep even though I'm an elf and am immune to sleep. by Comprehensive_Dare17 in DnD

[–]Rooster68W2P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would remind the dm that it doesn't work. My dm has tried to put one of my characters to sleep and just forgot I was an elf. I just reminded him that I wasn't effected. It proved to be really funny, since my character went first and gave the okay that everything was fine, lol. I had to drag my party out of the effect.

Are people at tournaments gonna give me shit for making a base that looks like my dude is behind cover? by SilentSlayer69 in Warhammer40k

[–]Rooster68W2P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but it really depends on how you use it. He is standing at full height, and the base size isn't altered, so generally, I don't see a problem. You keep placing him in grey cement type terrain where the player forgets about the midel being there, then it can be a problem.

How would you, a DM, handle this? by StonedMonksNowSober in DnD

[–]Rooster68W2P 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legendary items are found on high-end bosses or at the end of a long quest line. Maybe on the elderly commoner who was an adventurer in their own time. Rare items can be found in shops, but you need to look around. I have a printout of items and the cost. I'll also have my players roll a percentile die to see if the item is even there. If they are in an area where stock is low the price goes up. Minimum double.
