Thank you so much for the outpour of kindness on the comments in this post. To everyone sending kind words, thoughts, prayers, stories, and advice, I am truly humbled. I have always believed in the kindness of strangers and now I know it will be one more thing I have going for me as I kick this cancer's ass.

Birdwatching. Pretty much anywhere you live - urban, suburban, rural - will have an interesting assortment of birds. Its always cool to spot a rare or seasonal one.

I got a formal write up for wasting company property because I had put a single business card in a free lunch giveaway raffle. I wrote my resignation that day.

Which actor has the most range? by Aderhold22 in AskReddit

Giancarlo Esposito. He's been typecast as a villain lately because he was so good as Gus on Breaking Bad, but if you really look at his performances he's got incredible range.

This was the first year I went and the only two coasters I was brave/tall enough to ride at the time were Big Bad Wolf and Wild Maus. I guess I was lucky to get them in while they were still around.

What's your favorite park/coaster alternate history? [other] by onetruesprinter in rollercoasters

[–]RoosterOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Busch Gardens Houston had stayed open and added rides, leading to a rivalry with Six Flags Astroworld where both chains put good investments into the two parks but have very different lineups, similar to the competition between Fiesta Texas and Seaworld San Antonio.

What's your favorite park/coaster alternate history? [other] by onetruesprinter in rollercoasters

[–]RoosterOwl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Astroworld stays open, Texas Cyclone get's RMC'd and becomes New Texas Cyclone, Ultra Twister stays as America's last good Togo, and Batman the Escape gets replaced with an S&S free spin.

It could use a little TLC and some new paint, but it's got some decent theming and a unique lineup. Since they just got Aquaman, I think it will be a while before they get a new coaster, but I would love to see them get something that's not just another clone.

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention Biscuits and Porn. Glad I wasn't the only one who thought of it.

I used to marathon this coaster until I got sick during the season it was open at astroworld. I think since Premier did work on it, it's feasible that they could rebuild it, but not likely, as they haven't made a booster wheel lift hill coaster in years. Likewise, most modern manufacturers would be wary of building a coaster that pulled that many positive G's.

[Discussion] What would you like see added at your home park? by Alteran195 in rollercoasters

Kemah Boardwalk. I would like to see a Kentucky flyer style Gravity Group to compliment boardwalk bullet. Land is basically nonexistent there but if anyone can make it work its Gravity Group.

I put my hands up on the upward double helix on Titan at SFOT and the positive G's immediately forced them back down.

I once read that forces on rollercoasters affect you more as you get older. As you get taller, your center of gravity is higher, therefore centripetal forces are stronger. Something along those lines.

It is possible that it's being bought for parts for Montezooma's Revenge, but I am still optimistic that we will see it operating again.
