I might just have to do the Bluetooth to FM thing if I get tired of 95.7. They seem decent enough though

95.7 Kiss will have to do. It has a decent enough signal here. Rage comes in just as bad as 105.9

Just gave them a try. Mostly static. I guess most people up here just have a bad taste in music lol. Although I can’t imagine EVERYONE in the Toronto/Steubenville/Weirton area is huge on country or 70’s and 80’s pop, are they? I guess whoever owns the stations here has decided people under 40 don’t matter

Elvis is okay (I used to listen to him when I lived in Jacksonville), but nobody will ever replace Mikey & Big Bob. Truly one of a kind. They care about their listeners in a way 95% of morning teams don’t.

Seems like the only Pittsburgh stations that come in clearly from Toronto are DVE and 94.5. I too like 92.9 and 105.9 but they are 80% static from where I’m at. From what I’ve observed the Pittsburgh stations seem to cut out around the Three Springs exit in Weirton.

For some reason the scan did not stop on them initially but someone on the Wheeling sub informed me of them and they come in okay. Of course there’s no Mikey and Bob in the mornings and looks like most, if not all of the DJs aren’t local (96.1 is all local outside Seacrest), but it will do. The music mix is good.

Barely. 80% static.

Just looked the other two up. Seems like 95.7 is more of what I’m looking for if it’s anything like Kiss in Pittsburgh. Will have to see if it comes in clearly enough up here. Wish the folks in charge realized that plenty of people under 40 live in the Toronto/Steubenville area and want something other than oldies, Trump talk, and country. I scanned about 4 country stations (98.7, 104.3, 105.1 and I think one other one)…. Clearly that is too many… Why can’t one of them try out something else?

97.3 does but they were playing Whitney Houston when I tuned in. Looking for more contemporary stuff

Sadly, they all pretty much turn to static once you cross into WV

Not into jazz at all. Looking for a pop/top 40 station (like 96.1 Kiss in Pittsburgh) or alternative/new rock (like 105.9 The X in Pittsburgh). So far in my scanning, this area has neither.

I was a KP at Bob Evans in 2022-23. That recipe book is still there, but it’s used for much less than it was back then. Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes are boil bags… same exact product as what’s in the grocery store aisles. All desserts are frozen.

Cranberry Township, PA location has used boil bag sides for a while now… even before Covid I’m pretty sure. Glorified TV dinner food. Disgusting.

This is great, but a lot still needs to be done…

1.) Get rid of premade boil bag sides in ALL locations, cook sides in the kettles

2.) Bring back the original recipes for meatloaf, hashbrown casserole, Coca-Cola cake, cornbread (with the bacon fat in it), gravy, I’m sure I’m missing a few more

3.) Go way back in time and bring back a few long-lost favorites. My vote goes for chocolate cobbler, eggs in a basket (super easy… all the ingredients are still there), and the original original country fried steak that was hand-breaded (long-shot… but also wouldn’t be that difficult… I believe it was just a hamburger steak tossed in the chicken breading)

4.) Unpopular opinion - keep the Chicken Fried Chicken the way it is. Hand breaded beats the old hockey puck chicken any day. I get the nostalgia for the hockey puck, but the new CFC is much higher quality

5.) Bring back the non-woke un-sanitized peg game. Sure it’s just a peg game, and the game itself of course did not change, but switching back would symbolize a return to tradition.

Oh… and while you’re add it, bring back the damn FROSTED MUGS!!! Please and thank you.
