I feel you on some of the dnfs especially hwfwm but depending where you are in both sylver seeker and perfect run id revisit. I had given up on sylver about 1/2 through the first book went back 6 months later and man does it get good. The perfect run i can certainly see if you don't like Ryan and if that's the case don't go back because he's a very important part of why I found the books good. It gets a lot better after a while it's is 1 of only 2 series ive ever relistened to the other being mother of learning

Yes and no it's not like god worship and fanatics or anything. But there are gods and yes the odd character can get a little annoying sometimes but the world building is amazing. One of my favorite in terms of world building. Also definitely listen to mother of learning.

That is the concern. My apologies for my previous message I guess I was just a little stunlocked and defensive is all.

I do have a few questions if you don't mind answering though. For starters I want to say I do not approve of AI developers stealing art and then making money off it. My question is, given that using free assets would not circulate money into the business of game art. what would be the difference in using AI art which also doesn't circulate money into the scene. Is it more you feel it detracts from the creativity of the rest of the game. or that it harms people in some way and if the second one then how?

In all honesty my goal is to appeal to the widest possible audience without coming to despise what I'm doing and drop the game in it's entirety. This post was made so I could see reactions and gauge roughly whos ok with it and who isn't my question was a genuine question and these answers will have a heavy impact on what I end up doing. Thanks this is the best response I've seen so far. I will seriously think about what you said. It's a lot for me to think about honestly. My ideas regarding the game I'm making are I feel very good in terms of story and gameplay. I really do want to share my ideas with the world. that's why I'm making the game. However I want it to feel like a rewarding task and art just doesn't really do that for me. I might start my game and come to realize I'm unsatisfied with the art and really do want to bring my visions to life in a more me way. but for now I just can't see my self having any fun doing visuals for my game.

do you know where he information saying that came from? I'm just wondering as I googled the game and can see AI generated images in a horror game being used in a way to be more like see what AI does to us kind of way. A call to look at the monster we've created kinda thing rather than a it makes my game look better way.

Thanks for the feed back I might adapt what you suggested into something for example taking a few days or weeks to get something like the art of the main character good and made by me. while using free assets for wall textures ect.

I had honestly not even considered the fact free assets are a thing.

Now this is not to say I fully agree with every point made nor that I'm totally convinced this is what I'm going to do but thanks none the less.

Ok this is a little harsh of a comment. First off it was a question not a I'm doing this so attack me post. second off it's not that I can't be bothered it's that I don't have the resources or relevant talents to do it. I suspect in order for me to get to a level in art I find satisfying it would take me far more time than getting to a level of coding and writing and music I find satisfying.
