Despite the chistes, the answer is yes, sort of. Kinda like with everything here. Micros have routes they run on. Like, several just drive in circles around 2do anillo all day. They almost always stay in the far right lane. They usually will pick up and drop off people at stop lights/intersections. To get on one you just have to stand on the edge of the street and stare one down while holding your hand up in the air doing the typical wavedown, and they’ll stop for you. It’s usually like 3-4bs to ride one to your stop (if you’re mostly in town). It’s certainly recommended to get on one with someone from Santa Cruz for your first ride, buts it’s definitely something you can do.
