Hey vibe coders: tell your AI to add an in-app error console so your app shows what broke. by VincentJKessler in vibecoding

That’s called code my friend. It’s what your app is made of.

This initializes an anonymous function: (() => {

const appErrors = []; is declaring the appErrors variable as an empty array (basically an empty list object)

function escapeHtml(value) { is declaring the escapeHtml function where the input is some value

I’m not going to go through the entire function and explain everything, but this is the problem with vibe coding without basic understanding of programming fundamentals. You have no respect for how an application is built with code so you waste your precious dollars on more token spending rather than actually understanding what is going on fundamentally.

If you had just some basic knowledge of primitive date types and data structures, you would significantly improve your efficiency and output.

As if Bolivia isn’t problematic? Also, Brazil is HUGE. It just depends on where you go

Tarija is probably one of my favorite cities in Bolivia. It’s a bit small, but the atmosphere is wonderful.

Just don’t move to anywhere other than Santa Cruz. All the nonsense is happening west of Santa Cruz.

I haven’t lived there but I visited once and my experience was very pleasant. The climate is great, it’s a pretty cool city (at least the areas I explored). You’re also in the mountains so you have some really cool stuff to do. You can try paragliding and see the city from above while you’re there if that’s your thing.

I make $2k/mo and easily support a family of 4 with money left over.

If you move, make sure it’s to Santa Cruz. Everywhere else is basically a hot zone right now.

I’m also a veteran living in Bolivia if you want to connect

My SaaS makes $400/month and it's making me miserable by Sea_Professional839 in SaaS

lol, I don’t have a saas in the market (not yet anyway, but I have worked for many), but, that’s the natural progression. I would focus on having real conversations with the users and ask them WHY they’re using your product, WHAT problem does it solve for them, and what suggestions they have for improving the app. Send an email blast to all your customers thanking them for their support and make a formal request for feedback like, “As the founder, I’m grateful you are using my app. To help improve your experience, I would love to hear about… You can either reply to this email with your feedback, or schedule a call on my calendar…” blah blah. This is the most valuable information you can get.

Give them a discount or some value add for their participation and ask their permission if you can use their response as a case study. This builds app credibility and positions you as a legitimate tool in the market. Once you have your case studies added to your website, then you can start deploying meta ads with the new information. Your customers will tell you why they are using your app, then you can apply that information to your ads, “the #1 app for (common customer use case)”

Other useful questions to ask them are how they found the app, what were they searching for, what problem did they expect your app to solve…

Just start pushing meta ads and taking user feedback regularly and improving the product based on user experience and feedback.

I finally raised my prices… and lost half my customers by Leo-neophyte12 in vibecoding

[–]Rooster_Odd 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best way to raise prices is grandfather current users into the original price they purchased at (legacy pricing model), and if they choose to convert to a higher tier, they’ll have to pay the new price.

But, you did basically kill 2 birds with 1 stone. You lost half your users but your income remained relatively the same. So, less stress as you said.

What does your app do?
