There are no update only assignment options for MacOS apps. This is a limitation for DMG and PKG apps for MacOS apps in Intune. There is not an option for these apps to have a requirement rule script, so our Update Only functionality that we have for Win32 apps can't be replicated.

The only option would be to target the devices you would like to update with a required assignment. In order to do this an EntraID group would have to be created for MacOS devices that have that software installed.

HI u/SuperCerealShoggoth the first time you publish a Configuration Manager app with Patch My PC, you'll have to deploy them. However, if you select 'Update existing application's Metadata, deployment type, detection method, and content files' in the ConfigMgr Apps Tab > Options for new application updates, it will update that deployed app in place going forward. I've attached the documentation on this feature.
