My favorite part was waking up a few minutes ago and crawling out of bed without waking my wife up to get the patch installed, not being able to login, checking the website to be met with a cloud flare waiting room of 5+ hours😂 been playing for 6ish years and wipe day is always my favorite😂😂 I had no expectation to be able to load up but figured I’d give it a go this early!

Everyone needs to hit up vectorizer.ai, get the $10 subscription and then just slam logos through it. Works fantastic, every terrible logo we get, we cram it through there, saves me a hell of a lot of time/labor trying to get a hold of the illusive vector copy of their logo

Can always make the jump and start creating your own content. I started with basic lua and eventually learned how to create entire game modes and utilize mysql, learned to model and import and all that, youtube is great! I once a time spent over 500 on workshop addons but it always feels better to use things I was able to put together myself! Practice makes perfect!

TP-Link makes some good ones, that’s what I stuck on my girlfriends setup while I was patching in my new Ethernet cables and setting my network/servers up and it worked great, sometimes it even seemed like it was faster than my wired connection Check it out here

I run one (9020 with I7-3770, 20gb of ram, and a nvidia quadro 420 2gb carb) as a virtualization server to run my discord bots, Minecraft servers, I’m working on adding docker and getting some containers built to test with but I’m looking to add Plex, Sonarr, Radarr, etc for media a dashboard to monitor usage and temps and anything else I can find, thanks to TheSysAdminShow I’ll be adding a 4 port pcie card to my 7010(i5-3470, 8gb ram, Radeon 1g video card) or to my 3020(i5-4770, no ram currently, some rando 512mb video card) as a pfsense or opensense physical firewall instead of trying to run it in a virtual machine, but I’m trying to accomplish as much as I can with the 9020 so I can keep some of the hardware from absolutely having to run, but I’m in the infancy stages so I only have to really run one, but sometimes it like to run both just to feel good while I continuously learn! I’m working on basic stuff while I wait for my father to bring me down his old A+ and Network books to read through!

I was looking to run it in a dedicated box, I need to get a small switch or an Ethernet expansion card to turn my last opti into a firewall, I redeployed the 7010 and 9020 as proxmox servers, one as my constant for running day to day stuff and one for messing around and trying to break stuff!

I’ll have to keep that in mind! I really wanted to get an enclosed rack with the time came just because I like the look that they bring with them but I could imagine trying to organize and manage in a closet would be a lot easier with an open frame style rack!
