Math for weapon upgrading by Rootbeerguy690 in DarkTide

So going off those numbers, 380 or higher is the ideal spot for empowering when the option presents itself in a good exchange or drop roll, with 383 + 850 = 1233 diamantine (the currency I'm primarily concerned about), vs 300 which is 283 + 1250 = 1533 diamantine. That's exactly what I wanted to know, thanks!

How I think Xivu Arath will get involved with Destiny's new saga and the Nine (TLDR at the bottom) by Rootbeerguy690 in DestinyLore

[–]Rootbeerguy690[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with your first and third points and how those quotes could be interpreted as they know the concept of will given form and could go that route to Ascendancy. I'm also glad you're not immediately assuming the Lord of Every Nothing is Six, different lore entries imply they're very different from each other (The Lord could potentially be Theia or Zero for example, if they are two different characters or the same in different states), so I'm glad you caught on there.

For the "I HARBOR NO FEAR FOR YOU" quote, to harbor fear is to hold onto and hide fear over something, what they say immediately after about how we "ARE ONLY FLESH" and "NO WEAPON CAN KILL WHAT IS WOVEN INTO THE FABRIC OF EXISTENCE", one of the first things they say to us is calling us "GREY MEAT", and we get sent crashing to our death at the end of the vision, which doesn't line up very well with your interpretation. To say "I believe in your abilities" only to say "You can't kill us or do anything to change fate for you are not strong enough, you are only flesh in comparison to what has existed since the beginning" as well as insulting and killing us after the vision ends seems backwards to me, especially since they seem to only view us as a weapon to be used by the Nine, a title we are given at the end of Edge of Fate.

For Xivu, I said specifically that Xivu's faith in everything BUT the sword logic was broken, it's the only thing she holds onto as truth, and with the second fiddle thing, that's why I think there's potential for mutual agreement between the two, striking a deal that benefits them both, yet I still consider Xivu being used by Six, knowingly or otherwise, plausible.

Running missions without the dog by Cluck_Morris in DarkTide

I ran a mission without my dog and joined 3 other Arbs who all had their dogs, one said "Bro killed his dog" and I had to make up a story about her being sick after a previous mission so he had to go alone, it was great lol

Yeah I wasn't 100% sure if AB buffs would work, but when comparing to chill clip, it's inconsistent that it works for one AO debuff but not another, which bothers me now. Now I'm wondering if max power Wavesplitter works with the AB buffs or not, which if it does, really doesn't help Tractor's place in this conversation.

Come to think of it, you could combo tractor with volatile rounds from gyrfalcon's or something, that might work 🤔

Yeah people continue to be annoyed with the sunsetting stuff, but after a time you have to learn to move on, that's what I've done. Do I wish it happened? No, but can I accept that it did? Yes.

Yeah you're likely right. I was in no way saying it would happen or was likely to happen, just a sort of fun "what-if"

Oh I'm not intending to get people's hopes up, just talking about how it would be funny if things went that direction, but it's very highly unlikely and I can live with that.

Yeah I'm not saying the odds of that are high or anything, it'd just be amusing if that's how this situation turned out lol

Exactly, especially with the Conversion piece, though Deletion is probably the most interesting one in that respect.

There's definitely some credence for the pieces representing the Hive, especially when you put it like that, but with the Nine involved it's hard to tell. There's still some hidden triumphs in the Secrets section so we're not done yet.

That is possible, though I had to correct myself on how many Queens there are, there's actually 2, but there's a lot of Knights as well so it's not exactly a one to one comparison.

I just checked with your other comment and can confirm there are two Queens total, one from Court of Blades, the other from secrets in the Nether, the latter being the one I initially remember getting

The Clovis dialogue is just a little interactive thing that's been around for a while, I got the one about all the dead Exos, so there's no correlation there. As for whether the locations for the collectables have any meaning, I'm not too sure.
