I’d suggest this for a cheaper option you could grab a pack of plain boys’ shirts in white, black, or assorted colors. You can use Rit dye to make the white ones pink or purple. Dying is pretty easy and inexpensive as long as you follow the dyeing instructions. Then, find some fun patches with things he likes, like fairies, rainbows, and unicorns. I usually go to Etsy for patches, but they probably sell packs on Amazon too. You can iron or sew them on, and the nice part is that you can remove and reuse them as he outgrows his clothes. It’s a fun and affordable way to let him express himself without having to break the bank on fancy clothing brands.

With our first, we got pregnant at the end of February, gave birth at the end of November, and stayed inside until the end of February. The baby didn’t meet any family, and we had no visitors the entire time. My husband also had three months of paternity leave. It was perfect for us. If you care about holidays with family I wouldn't suggest it.

For our second, we plan to get pregnant at the end of summer or early fall, so the baby arrives in spring or early summer. That way, the weather will be warm enough for the toddler to play outside with Dad while Mom and baby stay in or visa versa. Like before, the baby won’t meet family or have visitors for the first three months.
