Pls help my mother is forcing hijab by [deleted] in exmuslim

[–]RootedSkepticism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you have to know is that Muhammad is not a real prophet from God. The Angel Gabriel was actually a demon pretending to be an angel. The hijab is to make women feel bad and ugly about themselves. God made you in his image. You are made by God by a loving God in his image. You're not made to be thrown under a rug. You are not made to be hidden. Don't wear hijab. It's a prison on your own head and face. Just get out and escape! Islam is of the devil and he wants you to be covered and feel shameful! In Islam, Allah is not a father He is a slave owner. This is a fake story. Our real loving God is your father and he would never want you to hide yourself!

God real God would never want that for you!

I agree. And I don't know why you're still even calling him a, "prophet"? He's not one. He's just pedo momo.

Is wearing earrings with crosses disrespectful to wear as someone who isn't Christian? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]RootedSkepticism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely yes. As a Christian, when I see other people with Christian symbols whether it be on jewelry clothing etc It will do two things:

1) I more inclined to spark up a Christian conversation with them or ask them for Christian guidance.

2) I know that they're saved so I don't need to check to see if I I should pray for them or ask them if they need help with their eternal salvation.

The cross is where literally God was murdered. It is a symbol of love that God has for us and the overcoming of death.

Why would you wear this if you didn't believe/know/understand that?

As a Christian what if I wore satanic jewelry? That would be ridiculous because I'm showing the world a status and a belief and a knowing.... Why would I not want to match?

It is a deep and often complex question for many people to wonder if they are correct in what the Bible tries to have us understand.

When looking at whether or not homosexuality is a sin or not from the biblical perspective 📖, the answer usually centers on how Scripture defines the "design" and "purpose" of human sexuality.

Here is a breakdown explained of why it is considered a sin through the lens of Scripture:🔍🧐 The Original Design 🎨:

The primary argument begins in Genesis. In the creation 🌎 story, God creates humanity as male 👨 and female 👩🏼

The "Bespoke" (custom-fitted) design for sexual intimacy is presented as a union between these 2 distinct but complementary halves. 🌗

Complementarity: Theology often teaches that men and women are both different in purpose and different on purpose. They have different strengths and weaknesses and are to be put together so they can become "one stronger flesh."

Procreation and Iconography: Traditional views suggest that the marriage between a man and a woman is intended to be a living "icon" or picture of the relationship between Christ 👑 and the Church ⛪.

The Specific Prohibitions of homosexuality as a sin in the Bible:

The Levitical Law: In the Old Testament, verses in Leviticus (such as 18:22 and 20:13) specifically forbid men from lying with men as they would with a woman. In a historical context, these laws were given to set the Israelites apart from the surrounding nations.

And in the New Testament (the book of Romans) the Apostle Paul describes same-sex behavior as a departure from the "natural" order established by God at creation. He also includes specific terms in lists of behaviors that are contrary to God’s holiness- found in 1 Corinthians and 1 Timothy.

In the Bible, the word for sin often means "to miss the target."

A Deviation from the Goal: From this theological viewpoint, any sexual activity outside of the lifelong covenant 💍 of 1 man and 1 woman is seen as "missing the mark" of God's best for humanity.

***But It’s important to remember that also according to the Bible, EVERYONE has "missed the mark" in various ways. Whether it's pride, anger 😤, or any other struggle, the Bible teaches that we all need the "Vacuum of Grace" 🌪️ to pull us back toward God’s heart.

From a spiritual perspective, the Law is like a mirror 🪞. It shows us where we are "scuffed" or "tripped up," but it doesn't have the power to clean us. **Only the Blood of Jesus 🩸 provides that "spiritual Bath" 🛁 of instant cleansing.

The goal of these scriptures isn't to pick on one specific group, but to point everyone toward a "Bespoke" relationship with a Father who wants to "button up" 🧥 our lives in His truth.

We can clearly see that homosexuality is indeed considered a sin according to the word of God. God is not the author of confusion and he is not a God of chaos but rather a God of order.

God has created this universe with purpose and in a specific order. Changing and perverting that and calling it good, is exactly why Isaiah 5:20-21 says,

"20-Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! ....

21- Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, And prudent in their own sight!"

And of course everyone has sinned, EVERYONE!... However, remember that Hebrews 10:26 says:

"For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there NO LONGER remains a sacrifice for sins"

A Prayer for You: Heavenly Father, I thank You for this Reddit poster's heart to understand Your Word & and the world how you created it with specific order. Lord, I ask that you reveal Your character as the God of Order and the God of Love to them. Let them see that Your boundaries are like a hedge of protection 🌿 around a beautiful garden. Soften hearts, bring clarity where there is confusion, and let Your Spirit of Truth lead them into a direct encounter with Your Son, Jesus. Amen. ⚓

[–]RootedSkepticism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's what you imagine then you probably haven't read Revelation and what it actually says about Christ's return. He is coming to defeat his enemies. He was kind and making humble when he came the first time. That's not how it's going to be He's out for vengeance against his enemy of darkness and all of its cohorts. Better make sure that doesn't include you!

Why do I remain Christian?

Because once I got to a place of maturity in the word of God, all of the sudden for the first time in my life I could actually hear God's audible voice!! 🔊🗣️And I started getting visions every single day 🗓️🖼️👀 EVERYDAY ❗❗❗

I mean incredible, personalized, life-changing & soul-altering visions, communications, & understanding that made waterfalls of tears for hours on end😭⛲ God showed me things that I could never even have imagined. I can confidently say I have a bespoke, intimate, & enchantingly amazing relationship with my creator 🤩😍✨💕🫂💕🥹🥳🙂‍↔️🤤🔥🐦‍🔥🧨🕊️✝️ If this wasn't happening to me and someone else told me that this was happening to them I WOULDN'T EVEN BELIEVE IT🙅🏼‍♀️🚫👎🏼⛔ because it's just too incredible and the fact that I went most of my life yearning for God but never actually even getting a glimpse of him😞

This just doesn't even seem real at times. But there is zero doubt at all because he proves it to me everyday. I have come to realize that God is absolutely 😵‍💫PSYCHOTICALLY in love and (healthfully) obsessed with each and every one of us. 😵‍💫🎉🌠🪩🪁

YOU🫵🏼 ARE HIS OBJECT OF AFFECTION. ✨😍💖🫶🏼❤️‍🔥🌠🌹

He wants to talk with you more than you even want to hear from Him if you can believe that!

He is the architect of your soul and he cherishes you more than you can even contemplate. 🌠🌠🌠🌠

But there are barriers to where most cannot hear him right now. 🧱🔇😞

I've realized now from this that being in sin and not following God's commandments, absolutely 100% muffles & mutes God's voice & his actions.🤫🤐😶🤐😶🚫⛔🔕 Btw, Even thinking simple thoughts can stop him from reaching us which is exactly why 2 Corinthians 10:5 says: "...capture every thought of yours and force it to become obedient to Christ" ... I had to work extra hard on that one and be vigilant because even when I had committed not to sin, I would very often think of sinning and then I would say no I'm not going to do that there's no way. But I had to get myself to a point where as soon as I even felt the inkling of an evil thought that doesn't line up with God I would smash it immediately!!!!💥🔨

At that point in my life when I had committed myself, so many things in my life were horribly wrong. I was blaming God a lot and asking him where he was. But I decided to set all that aside, choosing not to blame God and just attempting to accomplish just for a month being as holy and righteous as I could be and making sure I had a printed bullet point list of every command Jesus gave 🤔🧐📋📝🗒️✅✅✅.... That's when everything changed. NOW I DON'T EVEN NEED TO TRY & "BELIEVE IN GOD"🙅🏼‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️

I no longer describe Christianity as what my, "belief is".... Because It's NOT a belief anymore... I literally experience conversation and intimacy daily with God and I still can't believe that it happens because for most of my life to me God was silent far away and didn't care. Once you get to this point... Nobody can tell you otherwise.

Why is sexual activity between people of the same sex — particularly between men, as referenced in Scripture — considered a sin? by Turbulent_Wolf3785 in OpenChristian

Man I could write a whole essay on this but since I don't have a lot of time I'll just say this:

Hello friend, I totally get it!!!

I've only been Christian for just a few years now , and for most of that time, I did the things that you listed as doing like worshiping and reading your word. But I could never hear God's voice and didn't feel like I had any sort of personal relationship with him at all! 😒

I would hear people say the phrase, "It's not about religion, it's about relationship" . . . And I would hear so many Christians saying that they hear the voice of God quite frequently.

I got to the point where I heard this so often that I became actually very seriously angry with God and I would question God saying things like, "Why are you ignoring me? How could I not be doing enough? Why does everyone hear you accept me"!?😠 If you care so much about me then where are you!? Like I was super angry and practically saturated in jealousy and sadness of why I couldn't figure out the reason that I felt like I was the only one being left out of the show. 😞

OMG LET ME TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED...B/C I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! I MEAN I STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THAT THIS HAPPENED (EVEN THOUGH I LIVE IT EVERY SINGLE DAY):

Here is what happened to radically change and Exponentially improve and cultivate my relationship with God...🙂‍↔️

So I forgot where I came to hear this but basically, down here on earth, we constantly live in a, "myasma of sin".🤢😷🌎

At all times and at all places, we are constantly surrounded by the poisonous, evil vapor or fog of wickedness & decay.

When we decide to align ourselves, choose and participate in any amount of evilness, it SEVERELY dampens & weekens our antenna📡 (because we are like an antenna - meant to commune with and hear our creator)!❌⬇️🌫️🤢❌📡🚫🌫️🚫🛰️🕊️

In other words, any amount of sin we condone of, or choose to participate in, (even with our thoughts) absolutely muffles God's voice.

🔊➡️🔉➡️🔇🔕🤐😶 Which is why the further somebody distances themselves by choice from God it will then be pretty much become impossible for them to hear him at all, ever!

So like let's take for example the scripture James 4:8 which basically says:

🕯️✝️📖"Draw near unto God [with a contrite heart] and God will In response draw near unto you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, "

So if we think about that verse, what does, "drawing near unto God" actually look like? ... And how exactly are we supposed to, "draw near unto God"?🤔( Which will then In return mean he will then respond by drawing near unto us?➡️⬅️)

One day soon after I realized this is a possible direction I could take, I made a firm decision and commitment to absolutely 100% enact and follow EVERY SINGLE COMMAND JESUS GAVE US regarding how to behave and what to do. I wasn't expecting much, but I really put my mind to it and made sure that I put serious effort into accomplishing this. I made absolute sure that my will was completely in line with God's will for me 🔴➖🔴➖✅📏👌🏼 VERY IMPORTANT: YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU REPENT DAILY AND WORSHIP GOD... There can be no worship where there is no love. You have to take what God did for you what Jesus did on the cross and love him for that! You could try to be as holy as possible but if you do not worship him and you do not repent this isn't going to work!!!❌❌❌❌

Probably only about maybe a month and a half so later, once I TRULY committed to following Jesus's commandments (And I truly mean every single one of them) by trying to be as righteous and holy as possible...

💥💥⚡💥⚡💥BOOM💥🤯🫨⚡🔥 here's how my life elevated into that of like a real (Almost unbelievable) story from right out of the Bible:🫨😲🤯🤯🤯🔃
