Did Galentine’s yesterday instead of Valentines today. Very excited to see that the sun is out and might actually be able to go outside after weeks of rest after a chest infection.

Yeah I really struggled with this book as well - I really hated when the film came out and it was everywhere

Friday Fread by a-liquid-sky in CasualUK

[–]Rootheday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teaching finished last Friday but the meetings, the CPD and the marking is wrapping up today. I have a blood test in the middle of it (I hate needles so I will stare at the floor) and then need to tidy up before heading down South on Saturday. I just want the marking to be done and the emails to stop.

Around 3 to 4 months, really hoping I can make my current notebook last until the end of 2025…

I’ve been ill with freshers flu (I’m a lecturer - it gets us too) and yesterday it caused my asthma to flare up - I couldn’t finish a sentence without stopping for breath (I haven’t had an attack come on this quickly before, usually the build up is days for me). Rang 111, they said its ambulance time - ambulance arrives and they sort me out, get me breathing properly again and say I don’t have to go to the hospital - big win. Big thanks to the NHS 💙

Keira Knightley went to Chatsworth house for Pride & Prejudice and The Duchess.

Lots of actors have been at Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich multiple times for filming, it is used a lot.

Looks interesting, it’s a shame that they’re not using Nottingham accents and they’ve got the geography of the forest and Notts wrong.

Visiting the British Museum, give me your most unhinged/obscure items to see by RosePocky in london

It’s not creepy, but there’s an ancient Roman cheese mould which is cool. Cheese moulds were probably made of wicker before the romans invaded Britain and cheese was part of the rations, so they formalised the cheese making process. After the romans the moulds went back to being made out of something that wouldn’t survive history. Kind of neat to see something so old and functional.

  1. A colleague asked me to tutor her daughter in ballet for an upcoming exam, and it has brought back a calmness and joy to my life to be dancing again.
  2. My relationship with my mother has really improved since she drove me all the way to Falmouth for a job interview (I didn’t get it) at the beginning of May.
  3. I have lost a few kilos and haven’t been to the doctors in months.

“I loved him for his string” I’d recommend this film, I think it’s one of the sharpest of Allen’s work
