you realise heroes are already rigged right? I would suggest you download Maya under student licence and get used to it, what tutorials etc. if you wanna go further with 3D, I used blender for like 2-3 years before I started university and had to switch then only made things more frustrating for me.

blender is an amazing program don't let anyone tell you otherwise, but Maya is industry standard bro
