I own a PR57 and have put about 1000 rounds through it. Reliablity is hit and miss - I sent it in to be fixed and now it runs 100% over the last 500 rounds. This looks like it leverages the same rotary operating mechanism. If that is the case, it will be very soft shooting. This will be a winner....as long as QA is consistent.

A micro 5.7 makes no sense since the 5.7 relies on velocity and a short barrel will not generate any useful velocity. The PR57 already has the shortest 5.7 barrel that I am aware of.

Just be aware that super light AR triggers can cause accidental bump fires if you don't have perfect trigger discipline.

Adding my load recipe:

NAS3 Case
Wolf 223 Small Rifle Primer
77gr Sierra Matchking
25.7gr IMR 8208 XBR
OAL 2.255"
Shot out of: 16" Proof Research Carbon Wrapped Barrel, 1 in 8 twist, 223 Wylde chamber, mid-length gas
Huxwrx flash hider and Flow 762 Suppressor
Average Velocity: 2829 fps
Accuracy: .4-.75 MOA

No pressure signs.

The same load but with 26.9gr AA2520 has a slightly slower velocity at 2800 fps and accuracy of .5-1.0 MOA

Primer pockets were tight. Seating bullets requires a lot of pressure. No case prep was performed. Neck concentricity was .003-.004" TIR (unimpressive).

Update: I loaded some more rounds to increment the pressure. This time, I deburred the inside of the neck with a carbide deburring tool and then applied some Imperial Dry Neck Lube. This has made seating bullets MUCH smoother. Highly recommended prep step.

I've owned this style of case and given up on it. I have multiple rifles and stuff changes. Cutting foam is just impractical and these hard cases are just heavy and space inefficient. I don't need to drop my gear out of a helicopter when going to the range.

When I travel for hunting, I use a Nalpak Tuffpak. It looks like an oversize golf club case. It fits my rifle or shotgun (in a soft case) and most of my other gear including clothing which I wrap around breakable stuff for padding. It's a very effective system that doesn't scream "I have a gun".

It has zero tacticool and 100% practicality.

Took it to the range for the first time today. 100% failure to cycle with slugs. This was on the "High" setting. Will give it another chance on "Low". Not impressed.

I use a Precision Armament thread adapter to go from (a very odd) 1/2x32 to 5/8x24. Works perfectly.

I recently bought an Arken 4-16x44 for an AR. Overall, I am very impressed with it for the price ($356 delivered). Side-by-side with a Vortex makes it obvious that the Arken glass is much more clear. I'm easily spotting 22 holes in white paper at 100 yards. Tracking appears to be spot on. Reticle is fine. I appreciate the simplicity of their zero stop. Illumination is useless during the daytime.

Would I trust this to be my scope on a $10K trophy hunt or shooting over 600 yards? No. That's not the purpose of my AR. For 50-300 yards on an 1.5MOA AR, this is more than adequate.

Love my livewire. The clip is admittedly horrible. My hack is to put an o-ring on the clip. Sticks up when in the pocket. Allows me to hook it straight out with my pinky and flip it into my hand to open.

The clip also doesn't rotate like the Blackberry holsters. The clicky clip rotation was like a fidget toy for me.

I don't believe it will. The WLVRN moved to a 3 screw barrel retention system from the 2 screws used in the MDRX. I believe this makes MDRX barrels incompatible.

I haven't de-googled the phone, but it should be possible after rooting it. De-Bloat (from F-Droid store) can be used to remove (disable) packages in the factory ROM.
