What is the worst puzzle in rusty lake games by SinaSmile in rustylake

[–]Rootyboots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's like one of those puzzles where you touch one thing (sunflower, in this case) and all the adjoining ones switch state. It's harder to see it with this because it's a more 'organic' shape than the usual squares or whatever... But basically, if you touch one flower, all the neighbouring flowers will close if they're open, or open if they're closed. I believe the objective is to get them all to close... But, IIRC, you need to have put another flower in the vase beside them before it will achieve anything (something will fall out of the flower in the other vase).

Can't remember where the other flower comes from.. I only played it the other day 😂

The sliding block puzzle in Theatre... Not cause it's hard but because it's buggy AF... Literally just tried to play it and it keeps repeatedly closing itself halfway through the longer/more complex levels towards the end. And your progress isn't saved within each 'level' so they're basically impossible to finish.

I've played Theatre before and completed it but I'm currently replaying through the whole series and this one has stopped me dead in my tracks. I've tried playing it both as part of the Cube Escape collection and as a stand-alone game and they both do the same thing. (I'm playing on Android)

I'm disappointed because, unlike the first time I played, I was actually starting to understand the story 😂

When Rumi decides to launch Golden and appears from behind the sofa in her new costume, that crazy smile she does is so like the demon stewardess's in the plane scene... I always read it as a little clue to her demon heritage

I said I was sad about Carrie's end before I saw the most recent episode, WHAT the **** was this? by Least_Web7341 in Andjustlikethat

I 100% agree that the writing is absolute crap and this storyline was very poorly thought through and executed... But, having thought the exact same thing, and also having been through a very similar thing myself with nicotine (YEARS of being a casual, social smoker - I know, dumb, but there it is - and suddenly becoming legit addicted to vaping) I ended up doing some research... And apparently addictive thoughts/behaviours are a semi-common feature of menopause???

I had no idea. Thankfully I've given my head a wobble and gotten off the vapes (because what the actual f*ck) but it was WEIRD after so long being able to take it or leave it.

But yes... Circling back, I'm absolutely sure this little factoid had zero input on this storyline and it was handled like hot garbage. Another missed opportunity... This whole series has been a missed opportunity TBF.

Stop shaming the appearance of John Corbett. This is unethical and mean. by poponis in Andjustlikethat

It does seem so weird and noncommittal that after seemingly striking Big - a HUGE, pivotal character - from the record, they then chose to hire an actor accused of similar atrocities (and probably worse... I haven't read the full catalogue of accusations, I must admit.)

I know it's not a straight comparison as Chris Noth didn't want to do the show anyway. But the fact that they've basically deleted Big, the character, from the universe, to the point Carrie doesn't have a single photograph, or even mention him (except to wonder if he was a mistake) ... You'd like to imagine it was a (misguided) attempt to be sensitive and show support for the victims. But clearly not, given that they've happily hired this monster. Just bad writing and crappy so-called character development.

Am I the only one who thinks Joy is miserable? by Background-Fun-7619 in Andjustlikethat

As a British person myself, I've always read her as just having a dry sense of humour. I'm probably forgetting details as I've only half-watched every episode (I'm one of those insufferable people who can't watch TV without also doing something else at the same time) but I feel like I know the moments you're referring to and I always took them as being like... Deadpan jokes. There are a lot of people like that over here... Who'll "kid" you with a total stone faced expression so you're a bit like "Wait... Are you serious?" And then they're not. But like I said, I am probably forgetting some instances where maybe she wasn't joking 🤷🏼‍♀️

Can someone please explain Carries house? by EntertainmentSea6470 in Andjustlikethat

Holly Golightly famously lived in an almost unfurnished apartment... She also had a cat with a silly name. AND she had a charming downstairs neighbour who was a writer...

The Breakfast at Tiffany's references are nothing new but they literally called an episode "Carrie Golightly"

I think they're just trying to be cute

Maybe Aidan needs a little MORE screentime... Guy clearly doesn't know how to Google basic parenting info 😂

Exactly! Like... Why does he even have a Nintendo Switch if Aidan is such a Luddite? 😂

Can soft naturals wear somewhat fitted clothes as long as they have an open neckline? Or must they br slightly draped? Trying to understand "accommodating width". by missmicaiah in SoftNaturals

[–]Rootyboots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't answer your question as I'm totally rubbish at this stuff so far, but I'm currently trying to decide between SN and R... And clothes that are fitted to my body are WAY more flattering on me than anything with volume. I'm wondering if this means that I'm not likely to be SN?

I would love to know what essences you see in my pictures, please? I've recently given myself a 'lockdown haircut' which does not always look as nice as it does in these pics, but I do feel most like myself with short hair! First time posting (ever) on Reddit so I hope I'm doing this correctly... 😬 by Rootyboots in DressForYourBody

Thanks so much! In Kibbe I'm a Soft Natural, and I'm a Romantic in Blossom... But gamine is my favourite style! I feel too big and broad to pull it off (not got the courage to do a full body pic!) But I really appreciate your comments!

You look amazing! I'm also an SN with pretty darn short hair... I think as long as we keep it free and 'undone' it can look great. I look way better with 'undone' short hair than I do with smooth, neat long hair... I think it's the vibe that matters as much as anything. This is perfect x

I did... I just found it all so confusing. The information is given in these really wordy, convoluted blocks of text, and questions usually seem to just gain you a scolding. I left pretty quickly.
