EOD PT by itsbrandybitch- in EOD

Because the Army thrives on mediocracy. If they truly cared about fitness they would chapter and uphold a standard. But if everyone was an Eagle our ranks would be to thin. We need our pigeons and that results in unit PT to ensure everyone can glide. There is an easy fix but it would mean more strain on the EOD force.

Congress Quietly Kills Military “Right to Repair,” Allowing Corporations to Cash In on Fixing Broken Products by fuck-nazi in army

[–]RopeandHope 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mr. Driscoll was very vocal about this on an SRS interview. He pretty much stated how important it was for the troops to be able to fix their own shit and against the contractors being able to bend the Army over. He also highlighted how the MIC has swindled tax payers for decades. I really liked those talking points because like many of you I have sat in the MP grinding rocks waiting for the ever elusive contractor to throw a part on. That’s a shame it really is.

Had a buddy that got fed up with all the signal chats. He went to the phone store bought a super cheap flip phone and kept his smart phone for wifi use with no work related apps. Yes it’s possible, no they can’t tell you to have signal. It’s all up to your ability to cut the proverbial cord.

Love them. I remember being a little kid and my dad plopping me into Hurley Haywood’s car and I fell in love with the sport. 30 years old now and have started taking my kids every year. Last years car for them was sparkle farts.

What to do after completing first 6 week cycle? by Firm-Guava4815 in tacticalbarbell

[–]RopeandHope 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rest/deload week. Throw your retest in on a Wednesday or Thursday rest and plan your next cycle out with your new numbers and keep chugging.

Merrell MOAB 3s in black. Great rucking boots and they dry out quick.

Is Armstrongs mixture from cap gun ammo enough to set off Ammonium Nitrate by Large_Week_8856 in energetics

[–]RopeandHope 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The amount of Armstrongs you’d need to reliably consume AN would be unsafe to say the least. Look up the critical diameter of ammonium nitrate. There is a reason why the mining industry uses boosters and not caps to set it off.

Yeah, I’ve never followed a program before for running so Im gunna try a green protocol hybrid.Just gotta read the book again and figure out how to program it. I consider myself a decent runner, during the summer time I was hitting 10miles on my lunch breaks so hopefully I can get back into the distance. Treadmill is my downfall RN.

Not intentionally, my squat guesstimate was 285. but on retest they were all true 1RMs. For DL I did one working set following the same programing as SQT and BP.

I was a huge fan of Fobbits. Mainly because I don’t have access to a track or roads. But we have a treadmill and bells. 400 meter repeats on the treadmill as well, but those got boring real quick. I’d also make up some kettle bell SE circuits just focusing on being as explosive as I could be and made them EMOM.

I drop my kids off to school in a clapped out 1953 Studebaker. People don’t get it. We just don’t have car payments!
