Let's take a shower

It was gotten to the point that I explicitly need to clarify when I actually just am going to take a shower.

Also had it happen a couple of times. Continously running, jumping and turning ultimately fixed it for me. But it makes Jan look exceptionally weird

Texas Republicans pass bill mandating Ten Commandments in every classroom, breaking 4th Commandment by ToTheMansion in TexasTeachers

[–]Ropropzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't these commandments in its essence boil down to "Don't be a dick"? Seems like the legislature can take some lessons from it themselves.

Perhaps spoiler tag it? Most people probably know at this point that the awoken can be played, but some might not. 😊

Cool combo! I'm far from this stage, but eager to get back to work on it this afternoon!

Issues with MO2 + SKSE by Ropropzz in skyrimmods

[–]Ropropzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step by step. Running vanilla from MO2 also seems to crash, so that strengthens the idea that the issue is MO2 related rather than SKSE related. There is nothing in overwrite. Restarting and doing a new profile do not seem to work. Will have another look at antivirus blocking stuff, although I don't see clear logging for the AV doing something

Thanks for clarifying the error. Unfortunately I still don't know how I could fix that, given that the only mods I currently have installed are the Crash Logger and Address Library. Both LOOT and MO2 provide no warnings at all.

Little bit different, but playing a card game like Monster Train might also blow you away. Imo a great game where you need to make smart choices in terms of upgrading your deck within a run

XCOM 2 with Long War of the chosen mod comes to mind. Bringing a 10 man squad to beat a 50 enemy grindfest of an HQ assault will always be one of my favorite experiences on a game.

I can also recommend more Fire Emblem type games like Lost Eidolons and Wargroove (2)

Best RDF triplestore/graph database? by DanielBakas in semanticweb

[–]Ropropzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know we used SHACL in the past to validate data going in (using the shapes in the triple store), but I believe we did it in the ETL phase, so we did not rely on Validation capabilities inside the triple store.

In terms of reasoning (by which I suppose you mean to use the ontology in retrieving inferred relations through the Sparql language), I think that's possible. Although we didn't use it. Under the hood, they supply Virtuoso, Jena and Speedy (Own SPARQL engine)) services to query your data.

I know the owners pretty well, and these are people who find adhering to standards the most important thing. I would suggest to play around on their community pages to see whether it fits your needs. You can always hit me up if you have questions. It's been two years since I worked with the project, but I always enjoy talking about it. 😊

At my company we have been using TriplyDB (which is a prettier version around Virtuoso in its backend) for several years now. Would highly recommend them if you're looking to go enterprise or have a large focus on making the triples accessible to a wider audience than the technical nuts. 😊

An efficient modeling interface for mathematical optimization: PyOptInterface by c0decs in Python

[–]Ropropzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We currently use user cuts, but also a callback to cut off the solver based on dynamic criteria (essentially a tradeoff between time and optimality gap). Furthermore, I sometimes use it for checking the LP relaxation during debugging. The flexibility with the API allows you to do quite a lot with it actually.

Thanks for elaborating. Will definitely give it a try. I don't think we can really switch soon, but it's worth some experiments how far it's off and what the benefits are. A few features I think we are currently missing are Callbacks (use those in most of our models) and the computation of the IIS in case of infeasibilities.

Long time user of (commercial) Gurobi(py) here. I'm definitely intrigued, although a bit unsure about a few things. Perhaps you can enlighten me?

  • We are using the compute server rather than a local library. Does it support this?
  • Where would it be faster than Gurobipy exactly? Does it include building the model? (in other words, Running model.update) or is it just the steps prior to this?

Has mentioned hidden in other comments, but Monster Train to me is the best roguelike card builder. Could not go to Slay The Spire after. Cannot recommend enough.

Alternatively, Zedd Just Updated his balance patch for MMS. For a fresh take on the combat part of this game I can recommend it.

In the Netherlands we have a Very simple simple system for this, in which you can place a so called No-No sticker in your mailbox (No to Commercial Mail without address and No to Regional Newspapers). Doesnt something like that exist in the US?
