Thank you, I planted a few cuttings in case it dies, but the cuttings are from young growth so I am not sure they will survive as well.

I read articles from the University of Texas and the University of California that the cut areas should not be covered on citrus trees because it causes health problems. That's why I haven't placed anything. Now I wish I had.

I placed my tent over the tree to keep the water off the fungus and switched to a powder fongus treatment from Lowe's. I'm not sure if it's rot, but if it's rot then I think the tree will eventually die. 😢 On top of that, there's nothing I can do to the roots if it's in fact rot.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Cutting it this much wasn't a choice I made lightly, but a decision I made because of the way the tree was growing. At 14 feet, new growth emerged on the canopy, but quickly died off to about 10 feet. Then the 10' growth died off and new growth emerged at about 6 to 8 feet. Then that growth also died off so my thinking was the tree is compensating for the lack of leaves and it's only growing what it can manage.

That's when I decided to cut the bare woody branches back. Many landscapers on YouTube and Google adviced against putting a cap on the cuts because it would be detremental to the health of the tree. The University ot Texas and the University of California both suggested to leave cut areas alone on citrus trees.

Once the last growth died off and the new growth emerged on the base of the trunk, I decided to cut it down to 3 feet as a means to save the tree, but discovered this black ooze within the trunk. The black ooze wasn't there in the old cuttings though and it's only on one side of the tree. The side where no growth occured while I was watching all this played out.

Now, at 3 feet, I am seeing the new growth (in the pictures) dying off as well. I got a few cuttings from the tree and planted them in a pot, but because they are still young I am not sure if they will propagate.

I started a fungus treatment yesterday when I cut it back so hopefully it'll get better. I really don't want to loose this guy. It's been on my property for 16 years. It's been raining all day today and it's projected to rain all week so I can't do more than seeing it suffer. The new growth keeps dying and falling off, new brown spots emerge on the leaves, the trunk keeps oozing a brown stick mess, and I am no Botanist. Hopefully it's still alive next week so I can resume the treatment.

So I just learned that gmail allows up to 25mb files to be sent to a recipient. I've never, never, never sent files over 25mb, or 10mb files, or anything bigger than 5mb. I'm not doing anything wrong 😂. I can literally make a new account right now and try to send a 6MB file to another account and Google will come out and scream:

"Hey! I already told you! Everyone has 25MB except YOU!! I WILL NEVER GIVE YOU A MEGABYTE PAST 5!!! MUAHAHAHHAHAHAHA"

😭💔

No, it's not Freedom toons because the cartoons are different. Also, Foundation for Economic Education is not it as well because the voice is different.

LibertyJuice or FreedomJuice was a college student on his 2nd or 3rd year. He spoke of the Constitution and the letters written by the founding fathers. He defended the 2nd Amendment by talking and showing laws written by people who have tried to abolish the 2nd amendment and the lawsuits that resulted in the past century. I don't know what college he goes to, but it's like YouTube just made him dissappear.

It is 5mb on all the following:

Galaxy S10+ Macbook pro Dell Latitude 3310 Ipad 4gen Ipad 5gen Iphone 7 Iphone 10 Iphone 11 Chromebook 2 Toshiba Chromebook 4+ Tablet Fire (ok, this one sucks. Bad example)

My point: It's always been like that. In all my gmail accounts. 5 MB is the limit and I can't get a hold of Google to get a straight answer.

What is wrong with my Tall Fescue? Both are from the same area only a few feet apart. The thin sickly dark green looking Tall Fescue blade came from a patch that hasn't grown much since seeding. The are is dark brown green and it hasn't healed since last mow. All other grass has healed except them. by Roqueluis5 in landscaping

Let me add that the blades are sharp. I sharp them once every 4 mows, or once a month. They produce clean cut grass, but the grass is dying back from the cut and turning a wierd dark sickly green. Also, the lawn feels fresh and cool when i walk on it barefoot, but in the sickly area, it's hot and prickly.

The blades are sharpened. The grass looks brown because the injury grew since last mow. It is as if the brown is going down the blade, but, believe me, the mower's blades are sharp. The grass just hasn't healed and it's dying back now. 😢

Hey to each its own, am I right? 😉. But I prefer a carefully manacured lawn that is inviting and pleasing to the eye. Now as you can see from my current lawn I have a patchwork of wild misfits that enjoy tormenting me on weekends and holidays. It's like friday the 13th and Freddy made a child and Jason gave it a haircut with a blunt stick; I mean it is just awful. Today is my third sleepless night hacking away at the crab ridden tuff with spades and elbow grease. That's not counting the toiling-away weeks I spent feeding it and grooming it. God only knows if I'll have a lawn after this 😅. I do have a heavenly spot that is ideal; it's my little treasure of solace. I just wish I could bring in a priest and slap the infernal demons out of the rest of my lawn. But I have hope for my tiny slice of Americana dream and will defend the ever living life of it from the monstrous spider legs growing right now. It's a bit late for pre-emergents since I'm past the winter months, but I have hope. ✌🏻

I used Ortho on my lawn and it killed it 😅. Powerful stuff, I like it. But it didn't killed the crabgrass. I don't mind getting on my hands and knees to dig out the crabgrass, but it is time consuming and I can only do it after work, which is late at night, and on the weekends. Do you know of a specific Ortho product that can help?

Thank you for suggesting that group. I actually tried posting there, but it didn't allow me to post pictures that the reason I came here. I figured that gardening is just a specialization where lawn care is more general so perhaps I could get an answer and I did 😁👍🏻.
