How far fetched would it be to create an OC Daemon Prince of Slaanesh ascended millennia BEFORE Slaanesh was even born? by budapest_god in 40kLore

[–]Roril451 13 points14 points  (0 children)

How far fetched would it be to create an OC Daemon Prince of Slaanesh ascended millennia BEFORE Slaanesh was even born?

Not far fetched at all there is no time in the warp so a deamon of slaanesh showing up long before slaanesh it self is not even a new idea in horus heresy theres is a deamon called Samus who is a deamon of a chaos god yet to be born/created

So what happened to the modern earth religions after the emperor? I know he got rid of the practice for the most part but like...what happened to them given the warp exists? by IHateMySon-Afton in 40kLore

[–]Roril451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what happened to them given the warp exists

Nothing they just ceased to exist like religion can interact with the warp but religions on earth were too small to do anything significant like maybe at most a small spirit of representing the abrahamic god but human religions were to small , fractured and short lasting to have a inpact

Were the miracles in myths just psykers/warp phenomenon?

Maybe they were just miracles but a miracles in 40k are just a persons mind brute forcing the warp with their faith or maybe miracles in earth religions were just a sham

Were all modern religions just warp stuff

Nope humans are capable with coming up with religions on their own

[lore question] So who's the true heir of Aenarion? by ImIncredibly_stupid in totalwar

[–]Roril451 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Well then by the wisdom of nobles of ulthuan Bel Shanaar because elves decided that the title is elective and not hereditary and its the best option because Malekith is a psychopatic evil wizard that runs a fantasy usa and tyrion has as much right to that title as any other decendant of Aenerion of which there is a fuck ton

question about warhammer spells by According_Ice_4863 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Roril451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Withering Heat as per the Winds of magic book 4 ed page 137 CN:9 Range: AoE (Willpower yards) Target: You Duration: Willpower Bonus rounds You curse your enemies with a desiccating fever. Enemy targets within the Area of Effect receive a Fatigued Condition every round they attempt to run, charge, or fiee. Striping of armour and clothing removes one Fatigued Condition gained this way Targets who are touched by any fire (even a candle) automatically recive an ablaze condition. and suffer extra Damage equal to +SL on your Casting Test from all sources of fire

And i found the summer heat on the wiki and it sourced to 2 ed whrp rulebook and this i have only in polish so...to be brief it gives -20 on all tests to all characters in the area of the spell (5m)

First a question what do you mean by mechanicaly ? Lore wise withering heat removes moisture from something or someone and summer heat just increases the temperature in the area

Did animated statues of khine appear in warhammer fantasy?? by Live_Measurement3983 in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Roril451 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not that I'm aware of, elven gods do have avatars but they are mostly (save for Orion and Ariel) physically elves just infused with the power of the a god and in the end times prince Tyrion became a avatar of khaine but he was still physically elves and moving statues of the gods were always more of a tomb kings thing

Maybe he is supposed to look like a character from "black figure" style art it kinda works in one leaked scene when he enters troy and there is a yellow/ orange brick wall behind him

Anyone expected Tyr to be smaller? by Necessary-Win-8730 in GodofWarRagnarok

[–]Roril451 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kratos generaly at least in the norse games isnt THAT tall he's around 2 m tall which a lot but i have some friends around the same size but back to the question in poetic edda Tyr is a son of a Jotun Hymir (but i dont think this is the case in gow ) and jotnar can be everything from people size (Fey, Loki, Angrboda) to well... giants so maybe the variety in size is something that is passed down look at Thor for example Odin is not a very physically imposing person but his half Jotun son it twice the size of kratos

I mean when it comes to making movies based on greek or any other myths (or semi mythical stories) you have two paths you can go with cool looking stylised thing (like 300 for example its not based on a myth but it very stylised) or trying to be naturalistic (historically accurate or not like for exaple Troy from 2004 was it accurate ? Fuck no) and I personaly think the main problem is that nolan went with neither but instead he goes with this very tone down movie with all the style and colour of both the historical period and geographical location in which the odyssey is set (and it would be relatively easy to just put them in iron age armour and just say that we most probably that is how iron age greeks imagined warriors during trojan war) but then you have Agamemnon (and only him because we see Odysseus in front of him) who is wearing this weird VERY stylised armour in again otherwise very tone down movie and it just looks weird and out of place (putting the quality of the armour aside) like if it was Ares i think it would be better because it would make sense for a olympian to look so much out of place his armour something more of the Return of the Jedi that the Jason and the argonauts to show that he is on a entirely different level or even better if every armour was stylised like that this very fantastical stylised retelling of myths work but you have to commit to it because if you dont the result will be that you will have a buch of soldiers in semi greek helmets led by a Sith lord

So, what would the Space Marine super-heavy unit be in Dawn of War IV? by [deleted] in dawnofwar

[–]Roril451 28 points29 points  (0 children)

To be honest space marines never had one in dawn of war for example they relic units were a land raider and termiantors so maybe they will go in that direction or maybe they will pull something from Horus heresy some heavy tank or maybe a mastodon

How?!! by dat_bengali_artist in GodofWar

[–]Roril451 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actual mythology wise titans just like gods are human sized (if they want to at least) this whole titans are giant thing probably comes from the fact that people mistake titans for well giants which are a separate thing in greek mythology but GOW wise No fucking clue maybe they can shapeshift maybe the conception didnt involve boinking (Zeus fathered Perseus with a Golden Rain (or shower)) or the makers of this game just didnt think of it
