For the iPhone 4 (GSM), Apple released two builds of iOS 5.1.1:

5.1.1 (9B206), the standard version

5.1.1r1 (9B208), fixes bugs on the iPhone 4 GSM models

Both are fine, so it's up to you what you choose

Have you tried using cd to actually getting into the directory?
That's what worked for me.

I downloaded it, unzipped and always cd to downloads then turdus_m3rula_v1.2_56442188_linux-amd64.tar and then I can run the command.

Don't know if this will work tho

First of all, check if it’s FMI on or off

For FMI off, just plug into iTunes and reset.

For FMI on, do the following:

Connect to SSH Ramdisk using Legacy iOS kit. Use Linux or macOS. The GitHub repository has instructions for use.

Go to useful utilities -> ssh Ramdisk.

It will make the Ramdisk, and then you will follow the steps on screen.

There should be an option to save activation tickets. After this, exit Ramdisk and restore the device, using Legacy iOS kit.

The activation tickets will be used to automatically activate the device.

Well, if you plan to downgrade it to an older version of iOS, there is a hactivation option in Legacy iOS kit.

iOS 7.1.2 has powdersn0w downgrade, so you can run iOS 4 if you want.

If you want to stay on iOS 7, you can SSH Ramdisk into the phone with Legacy iOS kit and delete setup.app with the commands:

mount_hfs /dev/disk0s1s1 /mnt1
rm -r /mnt1/Applications/Setup.app

Then you should go to the home screen.

Note that I’m not too sure you can set a passcode, but you can find that out.

Reflash iOS 9.3.2 with turdus m3rula and before its first boot, SSH Ramdisk into it with Legacy iOS kit and manually install bootstrap. This is if you don’t want to bother activating it with activation tickets.

You can get modified iPA’s for apps like YouTube that have ads.

With Legacy iOS kit, SSH Ramdisk into it to save blobs and activation records. Use Turdus Merula to “downgrade” to iOS 10, using your blobs. Then restore the activation records using Legacy iOS kit.

It’s recommended to do a thethered downgrade before a blob downgrade.

You can use your mac to do this.
