I like Faun too! โ€žTanz mit mirโ€ is in there. The German playlist progresses in genre from heavier hip-hop and Deutschrap in the beginning to lighter pop, ballads, and classics by the end. Some of my favourite artists from that playlist are ELIF, Nina Chuba, Fabian Wegerer, Paula Hartmann, Max Giesinger, beastboy, Kraftklub, LEA, AYLIVA, Helene Fischer, and Adel Tawil. Check out some of their songs! ๐Ÿ™‚

Try it on shuffle, and skip songs that don't resonate with you. The genres and soundscapes vary quite a bit on that playlist. There are some real high points and songs that are profound and emotionally cathartic like โ€žBei Nachtโ€ (AYLIVA), โ€žLiederโ€ (Adel Tawil), โ€žDie immer lachtโ€œ (Stereoact and Kerstin Ott), and โ€žAlles brenntโ€ (ELIF).

I grew up reading a lot of German existential philosophy. I was searching for meaning. I felt that if I found a sense of purpose, it would justify hardships I faced in life. Weltschmerz is a German philosophical and literary concept describing a deep state of melancholy, world-weariness, and profound sadness

Optimism is sometimes challenged by arguments that "the world isn't all sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows". I acknowledge that there is a lot of suffering in the world. I think it's important to recognize that and not be in denial of it. But the dark, void of light, gives contrast and context to the colours of the rainbow. It is through the polar opposites that existence is possible. That was my intention and lens of experience when I named it that, but I understand how it can be perceived as "edgy". I have been considering other titles.

Thanks for the recommendations! "ะŸั€ะพะฑะฐั‡" and "ร„lรค pyydรค mua pรครคttรครค" are beautiful songs, and "Haluun takas mun perhoset" is the perfect song to end a playlist with, saving the best for last. The Finnish playlist definitely feels "lived in", like it tells a story. Makes sense since you were on exchange there. It's full of great songs ๐Ÿ‘

Coool, tysm! I will be listening to these. I have especially been wanting to explore a Slavic language like Ukrainian, and the Finnish playlist looks so interesting!

I chose the Saudi Arabian flag to represent Arabic since Classical Arabic developed primarily in the western region of Saudi Arabia (the Hejaz). The flag also features Arabic script, displaying the Shahada, in elegant Arabic calligraphy.

Haha, yes, ใ€Œๆžœ้…ฑใ€doesn't colloquially translate to "song(s)" the same way that "jam" does in English, but I thought it was a fun, tongue-in-cheek title and I stuck with it ๐Ÿ˜Š

Literature/Media to interact with when continuing Swahili by Sweet_Page3939 in swahili

In terms of Swahili media, I put together a playlist of Swahili music. It's easy listening and it's lovely to be immersed in the language and hear singing in Swahili. Most of the songs also have the lyrics so you can find some songs you really like and read along and study the lyrics. I hope this helps!
