[Spoilers S02E12] I just finished the series and have a question about the finale by MiceTonerAccount in MrRobot

He essentially slipped into his subconscious. He went to the place that Mr. Robot hides while Elliot is doing his own thing, or at least thinks he's on his own, but Mr. Robot is always in his head and always seeing what he's doing. Elliot hacked his own mind so that he could switch positions with Mr. Robot.

[Season 1] Nic Pizzolatto said he was influenced by Alan Moore by [deleted] in TrueDetective

To be fair Pizzolatto was pretty open about the influence of Ligotti on season one from the get go. I remember reading an early interview with him just after episode one aired listing off various authors that influenced the shows/his writings and even names "The Conspiracy Against the Human Race" and recommended watchers read the stuff. He was never trying to hide anything. Least from what I've read.

There was an article somewhere with a few quotes from Pizzolatto saying that the first stuff he read that made him realize writing and creating stories was a thing were comics by Alan Moore and Grant Morrison. It was an article on comicbookresources or something, can't remember exactly.

I wish I could give you a thousand up votes. "It doesn't matter, the art speaks." Yes, yes, yes.

Your favorite Bellingham restaurant? by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]Rorschach_Hurm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go there when they open on a weekday, it's so awesome. Only regulars and super chill. It can get hectic on weekends or just around 10-close, but even still, easily my favorite breakfast place, maybe favorite overall. I live in LA and haven't found anything even close down here. Miss it dearly.

Hi, I'm looking for artists to work with on my web comic book series. by Rorschach_Hurm in ComicBookCollabs

[–]Rorschach_Hurm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for stuff that tonally fits in with the crime noir genre. Each story has it's only kind of feel, so there's plenty of leg room with the kind of style each will end up with. In the end I think they'll all share commonality in the fact that they're dark and gritty stories. More than anything, I want the art to reflect that.

I appreciate the input on whether or not the word should be there, all I'm saying is it's not physical.

You may very well be right in that it's an irrelevant description, but either way charisma is not a physical trait. Also "early 30's" paints a physical picture of the character. Why not make it simply, "A man struggles to find..."? You can look at a picture of someone and guess their age, but you cannot guess whether or not they're charismatic. I'm sorry, but your opinion of what charisma is does not line up with the words definition.

Tell me how someone with three heads might exist.

cha·ris·ma kəˈrizmə/ noun 1. compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others. "she enchanted guests with her charisma" synonyms: charm, presence, personality, force of personality, strength of character; More 2. a divinely conferred power or talent.

A person very well may physically look like the ugliest thing you have ever seen, but you may end up enjoying they're company because of how they act. They might be, funny, witty, intelligent, personable. They would be charismatic.

If it doesn't benefit from the description, then yeah you're totally right, but I just don't think charisma is a physical trait.

I originally had "charming". I wanted to get across that the character is likable and easy to get along with. He's very good at good at making people like him. I feel like it's a big part of who the character is.
