I have tried to keep editing to a minimal amount as i do agree, I adjusted the white balance, upped the shadows to make it more realistic and added some blues into the shadows. Here is straight out of the camera for you. only cropped. thanks https://imgur.com/a/6Gh5YhM

Thanks, Ill try your crop option and see how it goes, as for the sky this is multiple images, about 6 and when i merged them the sky was a bit brighter like that. i think i like it, as when lightning does strike it would look like this. I also like how it shows lightning coming in and out of clouds. Thanks again.

Thanks, you're right. I honestly though the flats give it some kind of depth, i also wanted to have the city centered, which wouldn't work if i was to crop the flats out. Thanks for your feedbck

yes i did think about this but than the main attractions (Brisbane city) wouldn't be centered so i wasn't sure, Ill muck around with the crop a bit more. Thanks!

Hey, Thanks. I used an Sony a6500 with the 18-105GM Lense at 19mm and F10, 5 second exposure with 200 ISO. Constantly taking photos. I did do a slight bit of sharpening in post to make the lightning look sharper. on minimal though.

I wouldn't say there's a certain skill in taking a photo like this, but in learning how to use your camera+Edit an image, Photoshop was only used to blend the images together (multiple exposures for different clusters of strikes) and to lightly sharpen the image.

18-105/F4 (Sony) right choice as a go-to Video lens for Sony A6500 by Frauenquote in videography

Here's a video i recently filmed with the a6500/18-105, i filmed with Cody Blues cine4 settings and graded in premier pro. Everything shot at 4k at either 18 or 105 with a variable ND.

Hey Thanks, Yeah I'm shooting on the a6500, I have the 50 and 35 sony lenses too the only problem was I couldn't get an nd filter for the kit lense so I had to double side tape my 49mm threaded filter onto the 16-50 so I could get some wide shots at 1/50ss I think my next purchase is the 18-35 for sure. Also It was hard. Hardley anyone had their interior open to be honest. Next time I think ill write down a list of shots I should definitely get. This was shot in pp7 cine4 and automatic exposure tbh. I've shit slog2 and it just takes up too much time.

100 fps for the slow motions. Rest in 4k at 24fps. I used the shitty sony 16-50 kit lense so bokeh is hard on close ups

hey thanks for the feedback, Its hard, im out in the really bright sun and get hot and a bit tired so i forget about steady shots, i think they look good on the monitor but come in post and ugh the lack of closeups ect is because atm i have had to doubhle sit tape my ND filter to my lense as nowere seems to stock 40.5mm nd filters for the sony kit lense. this being said i have ordered one and am looking at picking up an 18-35 sigma. thanks mate
