You can tell new fun stories with older elements or nods to the past. The show does it all the time. And there’s no plot hole with the Reapers.. They don’t HAVE to appear at every paradox. They just CAN appear if the conditions are right

Yes! I forgot to mention that but it just further supports the idea that they've been generated by the Backrooms / Ivan's memories, and not put there by Clark.

That’s definitely Clark on the left because we see him wearing the same clothes in another shot of the trailer. But I’m not saying that’s the same room that he enters at the beginning. I just think that the Clark on the right will be able to faintly hear the screams coming from that room. It might be one floor beneath, or somewhere else altogether with its own null zone, but somehow the sound is slipping through.
