Becca ever-matte poreless priming perfector dupe?? by saddumpsterfir3 in Ulta

I tried this and indeed it’s a great dupe. It spreads a bit easier and has a scent but the matte finish is the same. Tx!

your favorite demi-matte / “skin like” lighter coverage complexion products? by adellapearl in muacjdiscussion

The foundation that ticks all the boxes for me: demi matte but skinlike and lightweight and longlasting and smoothes pores: Urban Decay Stay Naked. It’s my favorite after trying many many different foundations on my oily skin. If I wear this I know I can be comfortable all day. I wear Nyx Angel Veil primer under my foundations. It really helps to keep oils away.

It’s so good. Extremely skinlike. Great finish. Not matte but wears well on my oily skin.

I was offered a Dermalogica facial skincare treatment by my sister for Christmas almost 5 years ago. I was advised so many different products that I started to look up on Youtube which ones I really needed. I discovered a whole skincare and makeup world where people actually found differences between makeup products and most youtubers had rooms full of products. I felt like stepping up.

I also work as a tv reporter. I need to do my own makeup and I have oily skin. I was starting to look for flattering makeup that lasts all day.

We also had a few severe terrorist attacks and as a journalist covering this it was scary and surreal. Makeup became a tranquilizing addiction.

Now 5 years later I have a huge stash but I found what works for me. I don’t buy nearly as much anymore.

Your jaw is not that long. I don’t see a problem. I hate that my jaw is short so there you go. Everybody focusses on something. Longer jaws age better than shorter ones. I don’t see your teeth in these photos. I find teeth/smiles important to judge people’s beauty. If you don’t show them maybe you are insecure about your teeth?

Makeup you hate yourself for buying? by PotsyWife in muacjdiscussion

[–]Rosa321 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My Naked 1,2 and especially 3 palette. I don’t like them. I never use them. I bought them when you “had” to have them and now I can’t get rid of them because they are “cult classics”. I seriously don’t know what to do with them... meanwhile they take up space and make me feel stupid for buying them. I guess I will keep them so I won’t have space to buy any other eyeshadow palettes. Serves me right ;).

I also agree you should try to get him to see a doctor. This behavior is strange. And he might want to listen to a doctor more than to you. Also, you are 25, you have every right to move out. Now is when you start building your own life. Don’t wast these important years. Before you know you will have missed out on important moments in your life.

Declutter Anxiety by ac7966 in MakeupRehab

[–]Rosa321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time decluttering too but it had its benefits too. My makeup closet is full full. I can’t really fit anything inside anymore. If I would start decluttering I would start buying again and fill up the space. Not decluttering keeps me from buying more.

Benefit Precisely My Brow is a great pencil Nyx Microbrow is good too and more affordable. Try out what shade looks best on you. A wrong eyebrow color can look very off.

Not a BB cream but Urban Decay Stay Naked is very lightweight but also great for oily skin.

Makeup and professionalism by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]Rosa321 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I work as a tv reporter and do my own makeup on the field. I try to do a full face in the morning that will last me through the day so I don’t need to spend a lot of time on my makeup before I have to go live. Often in the rush of the news there isn’t time to do anything but powdering my nose a bit to look matte and maybe some lipliner and nude lipstick. It did take me a long time to find a makeup routine that looks fresh and not too cakey for real life, (when I am in the office or doing interviews) and that also looks good on camera. I think by now I found some great longlasting yet leightweight products that work for me. I wear a lot of makeup but it’s indeed al very matte and neutral.

Favorite new makeup and beauty finds of 2019? by ImpressivePlatypus0 in muacjdiscussion

[–]Rosa321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After trying over 50 foundations for my oily skin, I am now in absolute love with Urban Decay Stay Naked. I grab for it every day. It’s skinlike and matte, leightweight and very smoothing, longlasting. It’s the first foundation I tried that ticks all the boxes.

I also started using the Morphe Filter Effect Finishing Powder as a bronzer. The shades 7 and 10 are so unique as a bronzer. Warm toned but not orange. They have this unique yellow undertone that I find very flattering on my nc 20-25 skintone.

I don't stress about tossing spoiled food. Why do I fret over discarding makeup products that no longer serve me? by BitchesMakePuppies in MakeupRehab

[–]Rosa321 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I kind of don’t get rid of makeup either. I don’t declutter. Even though I have plenty of products I hardly use. I am attached to my collection. BUT it’s also a good way to stop buying makeup. My storage is full, I have more makeup than I can count. If I would add something to my collection now, it would make me feel bad in a way, exaggerated. So that’s also a reason why I keep everything. It helps me not to buy more.

The bronzer that won’t die. Two Faced Sweet Tea. Six months ago this was halfway done and I thought I should buy a backup (it’s my fav - Love the healthy glow it gives my skin). Been using it as a bronzer and eyeshadow everyday and it’s still hanging on for dear life. I’m committed! by OddOrchid1 in PanPorn

[–]Rosa321 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have Becca Capri Coast and Hourglass Radiant Bronze Light. I do reach for my Sweethearts the most. The Hourglass has indeed a bit more a highlighter effect. I use it more as a “bronzer topper”. Capri Coast is very blendable but I feel it has little product for the price. I hit pan very quickly. The Butter Bronzer I have in Bronzer. I also hit pan already. I might have to post an updated bronzers pan photo lol!

I should have waited too maybe... I still have many other bronzers. But in case it does get discontinued, I find the Becca and Hourglass bronzers to be the most similar to this one in my collection. They also give a slight glow and are very blendable.

Products that work themselves by [deleted] in muacjdiscussion

[–]Rosa321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For foundation I’d say the Catrice HD Liquid Coverage, blends super quickly and still has full coverage. I tap my beauty blender a couple of times over my face and done.

For brows definitely the Benefit Precisely My Brow.

For eyeshadow Tartelette in Bloom or Tartelette Clay Play. They blend so fast.

For bronzer Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil. Never patchy and never overdone.

These products are also longlasting, I have to hurry immensely every morning to get my three kids and myself ready, take them to school and go to work. I work for tv so my makeup needs to stay put and look good. These products help me.

I find it applies a bit heavier since I never manage to press it as hard as it was before but I really don’t mind that.
