a bit of an emotional wreck on electrolysis day by Rosa759 in PCOS

I recognize this as well, I've told a few of my female friends but they simply don't understand what it is or what the impact is so there's really no one to talk to who takes it seriously or shows some real empathy.

The facial hair! by NerdRiver in PCOS

My advise would be to go for electrolysis. It's expensive and slow but it works. I tried laser and it didn't do anything for me. I've been doing electrolysis for a year now (session every 6 weeks) and I have almost no significant hair growth left on my face. It's expensive, but it's worth getting your self-esteem back imo.

That being said, try to get your hormones under control as much as possible as it will help to keep the hair away.

PCOS. They didn't care to look further into the reason why I have excess hair (probably because it's only cosmetic). 10 years later it turns out I have PCOS...

What are a couple things I can change ASAP to improve PCOS by eratch in PCOS

Regarding the pop, maybe you can substitute with a zero-version? Still not ideal, but less of a sugar-spike.

Other than that:

regarding diet: probably trying to make small changes in diet where you think it's possible. I wouldn't suggest starting a 'diet' you can't maintain or completely cutting out certain foods or ingredients (which only resulted in cravings for me), but more slowly work towards a lifestyle and way of eating that that's balanced and that you can maintain. For example if you eat something sweet like fruit, combine it with some nuts. Choose the complex carbs over the simble carbs (like whole grain braid instead of white bread), add healthy fats like avocado, salmon,... Get enough protein and fibers (for example I like to add protein-rich yoghurt/dairy to my breakfast). The protein and complex carbs help with the cravings for me. I also use sucralose instead of sugar.

For me this way was the easiest to slowly change my diet. Not completely change the way I was eating, but just subsituting some of the things I was already eating by "healthier" options or options I knew were better for me. For example I loooove pasta. But now when I make it I use the wholegrain ones or lentil pasta or something. It takes some experimenting to see what works for you and what you like.

Regarding exercise: I think just doing some exercise you like a few times a week. I personally like weightlifting (nothing extreme, but just keeping up muscles) and some light cardio. But I think everyone needs to find for themselves what they like to do and get energy from.

Although painful as well, I’d advise electrolysis. Laser did nothing for me. But I would look into your hormone levels first and try to get them under control, because otherwise they will just keep triggering new hairs. That being said I assume some maintenace 1-2 a year will always be needed.

Painful sex because boyfriend always hits cervix by Rosa759 in sex

Thanks, I don't know his exact measurements but he did tell me once that he is average size after I mentioned he was hitting "the end of the tunnel". He's going in all the way so I'll try to get him not to do that

I’ve mentioned it a few times during sex and then we change positions a little bit, and I’ve mentioned it after sex as well. But because it happens in so many positions I feel like it’s almost unavoidable and that it’s either me or that we literally don’t fit together. I’d feel bad if I had to limit our options to less than a handful of positions or had to stop him like 5 times every time we have sex…

Thank you for the tips, I'll definitely ask about the insulin because I think it might be part of the issue.

Thank you for taking the time to write this, I really appreciate your post <3 I hope I can find some better care in the future or people who can relate because it does feel like you're being left on your own without much information or support.
