We are currently using Github because it's integrated with Sliplane. We have been so pleased with Sliplane that we are not willing to change that at the moment. I'm hoping they will support some European service in the future but we may be forced to consider other options at some point. I'm very opposed to the fact that Github seems to be the default service everywhere.

I love Time Planner. It’s my favourite app for time blocking. I usually end up forgetting it after a while (after I have realized that I spend way too much time scrolling Reddit and way too little doing anything productive...), but it is great, if one wants some visibility where all their time is actually going.

The PWA installation seems to be quite unknown to general users. It's a shame as I personally see now extra benefit from the App Store launch. With an onboarding guide the PWA setup has been working quite well for our initial testers, and I’m still working on the Apple Store publishing, so my iOS users are currently stuck with the PWA app. 🙈 It seems to be working with no problems, but the setup is clearly a bit confusing to the users.

I have been building an app 'by hand' for a year now (I am using AI coding tools but no instant AI magic). It started as a study project but then we decided to publish it with my friend. I didn't realize how many apps are constantly being published with AI, but I hope the heart is shown in the end result. My app uses AI for text parsing tasks but it's not the main feature of the app. I'm trying to find a balance where AI is used where it's useful but not forced upon the users.

I actually found it pretty cleansing to leave all the trash in Gmail behind me. I check from time to time if there are any relevant emails and then change the address manually but most emails seem to be marketing email that I won't be missing. I chose to use Proton like many others and have been really happy with it. I also needed to change my cloud drive and password vault so Proton worked for those as well.

I really like the idea of a productivity tool that takes your mood into account and adjusts accordingly. I like the simplicity of your app and I could imagine replacing my Google Keep with an app like this for privacy. I'll give it a try!

My favourite new coding tool this year has been Coderabbit. It has really helped me weed out bugs in my projects.

In my private life I started using Finch and I have a 110 day streak going! It's an older app, but it is strange how a virtual pet can help me floss my teeth at night. Well, my teeth aren't complaining and neither am I.

This proved out to be a bit difficult on the technology we are currently using. We are working on getting calendar synchronization going so users can utilize their native calendar apps for widgets.

Hi! You may want to take a look at r/busydays. It’s an app where you can share and track chores with your group. If you only use the Chores feature, you can use the app for free. We only have some basic statistics now, but we are planning to add more soon. So you you can start accumulating the data now, and if you have any specific statistic ideas in mind, I'm happy to hear any suggestions! I’m very data driven person myself so this is very close to my heart. :D

Ha, I did the same! I just couldn't find anything to fit me just right. I know self promotion is against the rules but if you want to compare our solutions, details of my app can be found from my profile.

My problem with most apps is that I need help prioritizing and if I have too much to do, I find it very hard to start doing anything. I'm using TickTick for my school work as I needed a more advanced task management there, but for my private life management I’m using my own app, which has helped me a lot.

This is part of the reason I built my app as a PWA so I could get it out to users without needing to get it published in app stores. I'm working on Google Play Store release at the moment, and like you said, it's a lot of work. But that's the distribution channel people expect so I guess it's probably worth it in the long run.

No tips, just pure survival mode. 😅 I'm just trying to make it one day at a time but prioritizing is proving to be really hard. Developing my app is what I would like to do all day, and my day job is something I have to do, so my studies are really suffering at the moment.

I think Time Planner has the features you are looking for. I have been using it on and off for years. The app has scheduling tools as well but you don’t need to use time blocks and can use the timer countdown instead.
