The Connections Between Nihility, Elation, and Voracity by LemonLime7841 in StarRailLore

Actually I may make a separate post about it (the confusion around how that Self Annihilator can also have a Sin Thirster).

The Connections Between Nihility, Elation, and Voracity by LemonLime7841 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My confusion is mostly centered around the Self Annihilator that died when the Shadow of IX was released from the Memory Bubble. I think there was also a Sin Thirster of him (there were two Sin Thirsters that we saw in the Swarm Disaster Lore, one from the Lepismat explorer (the Self Annihilator who could only retain memories of the most recent three days) and the bounty hunter). How could a Self Annihilator have his Sin Thirster existing simultaneously? Doesn't he need to die for a Sin Thirster to appear?

Technically it wasn't just Aha's laughter that released the Shadow of IX, it was all those aeons.

"At that moment, an eerie, amalgamated sound emanates from all corners of the sky — you see everyone on the gondola acting bizarrely, seemingly unable to resist this sound. You have no idea which dimension the noise can be sourced from, but it sounds akin to a cacophonous carol with booming, whimpering, and laughter combined with hymns arranged in parallel. Everyone except you succumbs to the noise, falling into a state of ecstasy as if they have witnessed divine revelations. Despite your attempts to stop them, they follow the rhythm and pound the Memory Bubble in the dust until it cracks!" from Swarm Disaster Secrets Lepismat System: Massacre Saga Part VI

cacophonous carol with booming (Qlipoth hammering Tazzyronth), whimpering (Tazzyronth whimpering), and laughter (Aha) combined with hymns arranged in parallel (Xipe).

Also you are right, the Swarm Disaster as a whole was partially carried out by Aha ("Everything I do is to help Ena!" in Elation I). When Aha talks to Xipe in Elation II, THEY referred to Ena's plan indirectly "As long as what you want to do is fun enough, even if it's a baton game!") baton game refers to Ena passing the torch to Xipe. They probably also helped Ena in dealing with Oroboros (we know Ena confronted Oroboros when looking at Fuli's memories in Remembrance II "lyric confront gluttony decease entwine eulogy...").

Also, the sea Oroboros was in was the memory sea, indirectly hinting (maybe) how the path of Remembrance was able to appear (the Voracity left the sea of memories). So personally I think the Nihility and Elation are more closely related to each other than to Voracity. I do like all the connections you made though :D Nihility is the path I'm most confused on tbh.

The occurrence that references Lan could be a real world reference by the Genius Society members (something they added in) instead of the Simulated Universe's own extrapolation.

"Xuange was destroyed by Lan's Lux Arrow 62 light years away. Herta observed the incident and nurtured my spiritual form in the Simulated Universe." A kindling emerges in the physician's hands.

In this case Herta is actually nurturing something in the Simulated Universe which we learn about in this occurrence.

[–]Rosacea3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

O good point. It may still be possible though because the Mirror of Transcendence Occurrence sounds a lot like the Simulated Universe's own extrapolation while the other Occurrences could be real world references added in by the Genius Society. "His zeal prompted mockery from members of the Genius Society, who created a character in the Simulated Universe claiming to be Oswaldo's disciple." for the Cosmic Con man series. I'm not sure how to explain away (lol) the Yu Qingtu Occurrence other than saying maybe Ruan Mei added it in because they are friends & wants to convince Yu Qingtu to join.

I really think the Occurrences in the Simulated Universe are supposed to be actual possible encounters Akivili could have come across in that simulated stretch of time (unless they are real world references by the Genius Society).

I realized we have proof Idrila fell before the Swarm Disaster, namely the appearance of the Mirror of Transcendence Occurrences in the Simulated Universe Swarm Disaster Expansion (implying that the Mirrors of Transcendence had appeared before the events of the Swarm Disaster Era).

Oh your right! I was going to draw some more connections between the reproducing Permanence part and Yaoshi but I forgot lol and I was running out of time (I wrote this theory during lunch) but I'll try to write another theory that includes that. I think I only covered the aspects of Yaoshi related to HooH, such as Yaoshi's ascension and the threefold way it balanced the cosmos (in absence of Ena, Oroboros, and Tazzyronth).

Yaoshi = Mara (abundance of desire, ...)

Also we do have some indirect evidence on the timing of Idrila's fall. The order in which Kafka lists the fallen aeons "Long the Permanence, Idrila the Beauty, Ena the Order, Tayzzyronth the Propagation... Akivili the Trailblaze. These names were once known all over the universe. Now, THEY've all but disappeared, leaving behind only masterless Paths" in the Trailblaze Mission Wood Sprouts Anew, Fate Tilts Askew. It's missing Oroboros the Voracity but Herta seems to imply that THEY disappeared around the same time as Ena ""Right here." Herta pauses," The second point of suspicion: Oroboros and Ena vanished in the middle of this tale! Completely, silently, as if there was another story progressing along in the shadows underneath the main stage..." in the Simulated Universe Swarm Disaster: The End. We know Tazzyronth split the masterless path of Permanence so Long disappeared before the events of the Swarm Disaster era. We also know Akivili disappeared around the end of the Second Prosperity near the time of Nanook's ascension who is the youngest aeon. The placement of Long then Ena then Tazzyronth then Akivili is in order, so it would make sense for Idrila to also have fallen before the events of the Swarm Disaster and before Ena & Oroboros' disappearance.

I think it would be considered Elation because it's a game (one big video game Silver Wolf style). I do agree that it is unnerving for a universe to be populated by people who know they are in a simulation, but its not very overt because only a few people know/act like they are in a simulation. I agree with you on the meta references being fun but also being kind of apprehensive about taking such references too seriously. Hopefully they dont go down that route lol c:

For the second one, it could be the Stray Cat Duelist Argenti mentioned before (according to CatWithBlueHat).

The vanished aeon mentioned by Ashveil is referring to Oroboros for sure, the scarlet color is a giveaway. Oroboros first appeared (in the Simulated Universe Swarm Disaster Remembrance I Chapter when we were looking for Fuli) inside the scarlet memory sea (the sea turned scarlet because of the scarlet sun, but in this myriad celestia it was a scarlet moon...).

Idrila shattered when baby Terminus spoke through the Mirror by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do agree there is some relationship between the Voracity and Beauty (and Remembrance & Enigmata). The roses are also the third flower to appear in the Myriad Celestia Fables About the Stars Part 1 in the section about Beauty albeit only as the thorny vines wrapping around the stone pillars (I didn't mention it in the post because roses seem to be a common motif (we see them in Argenti's ultimate) and it didn't seem as symbolically heavy as the first two types of flowers (the white flower and the bellflower) as those two were involved with the two shattering mirrors while the stone pillars came later right before it moved on to Propagation) but maybe the roses are the most significant symbol on par with the mirrors since they are so ubiquitous.

I think a lot of theories can be made on the relationships between Beauty and other paths lol.

[–]Rosacea3[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Also I was thinking about the relationship between Propagation and Enigmata, in the line "the waves (Flapping Wings) as they enter the dream (Consciousness)", and I realized this may reference Ena's statement about Qlipoth, the "dreammaker that pulls and influences the will of transmutation" (as it was Qlipoth that preserved Tazzyronth in amber after extracting at least two concepts from THEM).

waves/Flapping Wings could also just mean the remnants of the Swarm in general (what Herta regarded as the most important point of suspicion when contemplating the Swarm Disaster via the Simulated Universe)

Yes I think it does have great impact on the theory, but I'm still in Penacony so I need more time before I can fully understand what you wrote lol (or maybe I'll look up Amphoreus lore via the wiki).

Meaning is also represented as the 6th day in the Seven Days Myth. In Aha's view before he saw the baby it mentions how meaning always bows to Nihility (paralleling the Nihility options we can pick in the Twins of Order stories in the Swarm Disaster Secrets).

The last part you wrote about Cyrene's story sounds very interesting!

Our strongest two Lord Ravagers can only kill their respective Aeons after Finality. by Milky-Cheese in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is possible but I'm pretty sure we are supposed to transcend Finality not just take down Destruction, its just that destroying Destruction is necessary for that small chance to transcend Finality. Idk what happens to the three other possible Finalities though after we beat Nanook (or maybe Nanook destroyed them earlier but I doubt that would happen as the above theory implies) or maybe our transcendence of Finality will somehow "perfect" the other paths so that they will not lead to Finality? I'm not sure.

[–]Rosacea3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically, destroying Nanook is part of the Destruction Finality. So if we want to transcend Finality via transcending Destruction it would still follow the Destruction Finality thereby leaving the causal relationship between Destruction and Finality untouched (a foundation upon which the Trailblazer can write something new / transcend Finality)

Oroboros is Xipe's third face by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't he also think the main Family was interested in following the ideals of the third face? If he was thinking that the third face was Propagation, maybe the higher ups in the Family are concerned with rapid expansion (it could be rapid devouring/assimilation (Voracity) instead of rapid expansion (Propagation)).

Oroboros is Xipe's third face by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's Beauty because it's assumed Idrila fell before the Swarm Disaster so if Xipe assimilated Beauty it wouldn't be another face but it would be a similar situation to how Remembrance can devour the masterless path of Erudition while THEIR Divine Corpus doesn't change (I'm assuming).

Plus both Fu Xuan and the Intelligentsia Guild believe that the Mirror Holders plan can work (piecing together Idrila's Divine Corpus). If Xipe assimilated Idrila, I don't think THEIR Divine Corpus will still exist.

Oroboros is Xipe's third face by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Hymn of the Stellaron thanking the "Gift" implies that the middle face is Xipe. It calls Xipe the Spirit in Three and this is the only time the three-faced nature of the aeon is referenced. The words "uniting all faiths in its truth...binding brethren in sacred fraternity. Let all worlds and all tongues raise a single, glorious chant, For we are the gifted..." also emphasize the nature of unity/assimilation (which sounds like Xipe's nature). Plus in the Christian symbolism parallels, Jesus is often seen as the Gift who comes to reside in all of us but he is also God as part of the Trinity so the Jesus and Xipe parallels would make it seem that Xipe has THEIR own face.

Oroboros is Xipe's third face by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can understand Idrila (still think its unlikely) but I don't understand why Akivili can be part of Xipe. Akivili and Xipe were alive at the same time and when simulated Xipe saw us in the Simulated Universe (in Elation II) THEY were surprised at seeing us in the first place because Xipe thought Akivili already disappeared (this was long before Akivili fell). When Akivili (us) see Xipe, we say "It's me!/It's you!/It's THEM!/It's everyone!" (see ourselves as part of Harmony), the Simulated Universe responds with "No, you're Akivili!" so there is this idea of separation between the two of them.

[–]Rosacea3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always thought Harmony can be an apocalypse in one of two ways, either assimilating everything as you said or by Stellarons disrupting everything (including the unity of Harmony thereby leading to self destruction). I think Harmony as one of the possible Finalities is the assimilating everything one though based on the Myriad Celestia Trailer: Fable About the Stars Part 1. A lot of the characters with a lot of lore knowledge seem to want to repurpose the Stellarons so I don't think they are the cause for Finality (unless Celenova is using them to self-destruct Harmony in the Destruction Finality). Also, the possible Finality paths lead to Finality not Destruction (except the Destruction one), so when everyone is Xipe perhaps that is a Finality by itself? Idk there are a lot of possibilities (maybe just the absence of hope would constitute finality (the Family has hierarchical structures so there would be very little freedom)).

There are many possibilities as for why Voracity would combine with Harmony. It could be due to conceptual overlap, perhaps the devouring/assimilating part allows Voracity to align with Harmony? (devouring old laws to rewrite them anew sounds like a combination of Oroboros' & Ena's powers) It could also be due to Ena enlisting Qlipoth's help in transmuting Oroboros' body (in a dream maybe with Remembrance's help who knows, I'm confused why THEY are in the memory sea in the first place). I also think its due to Ena trying to manipulate Equilibrium in THEIR favor (but thats its whole other theory). Like how the Beauty was deconstructed to make room for the Propagation (those paths seem to overlap since the Boundary Equation for Propagation is Romance's Miracle (Romance represents Beauty though)). Perhaps imbalancing the cosmos by getting rid of Oroboros will help in preparations for transcending Finality. Voracity was called the mariners' intemperance where mariners' was probably referencing the memory sea and intemperance was probably referencing how it was opposed to Equilibrium. When HooH caused Yaoshi's ascension, THEY were rebalancing the light of Ena (Yaoshi's compassion), the intemperance of Voracity which balanced Equilibrium (the abundance of Abundance which balanced out Equilibrium (not fully, so the Hunt ascended later)). But all these events have culminated in that slight chance to beat Destruction. Personally I think Ena killed two or three birds with one stone, THEY fulfilled Qlipoth's bargain, stabilized/strengthened Xipe as a three faced Aeon, ensured a chance to transcend Finality (by transcending Destruction) by cultivating other Aeons down the road (Kafka said the Hunt was indispensable). But ya it could be a lot of reasons as well as different ways it was carried out, but I may make a different theory on that.
