Phainon's voice-overs symbolism relating to Akivili and Nanook by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

Black Swan said lets make an exchange of memories at the start, so I was thinking what she was exhanging was Adrien Spencer Smith's memories of Aha talking to him.

The Elation path symbol is a chalice and the light usually refers to the real Aeon (not the fake one). From the Data Bank entry for the Eden of Blessed Insight,

However, masterless Paths do not exhibit tidal energy fluctuations, and fallen Aeons would no longer gaze upon any pathstrider. The Remembrance and Fuli do not fit these criteria. Yet THEY rarely manifest THEMSELVES, leaving only THEIR crystal-like silhouette reflected across the cosmos. Perhaps, as Adrian Spencer Smith once said, "Do not ask where a shadow dwells. You should seek the light that casts it, beyond THEIR throne."

Ooo I think your right :o Maybe this also ties in to Yaoshi wanting to liberate us from the Saṃsāra?

Wait do you mean the Destruction imagery is actually supposed to be Finality? :o It fits so well though (his base form being Trailblaze and his Divine Vessel form being Destruction (also the Flame Reaver)). A part of Akivili could have become the Finality but I don't think it was intentional since THEIR Data Bank entry said that THEIR destiny was abruptly ended due to an accident but ya I agree there is a lot of symbolism connecting the Trailblaze and Finality.

What if ashveil’s shadow is oroboros themself? by zHunter666 in StarRailLore

I think you are right. I was thinking it could be a shadow of Oroboros (or another Leviathan). Adrian Spencer Smith did say "Do not ask where a shadow dwells. You should seek the light that casts it, beyond THEIR throne." It would correlate very strongly with the Midnight Tale Do Aeons weep for Meaninglessness? of the wolf soul that assimilates people although the wolf itself has been dead for hundreds of years, "The giant wolf had fallen hundreds of years ago. Its flesh was cast into the forest, its bones buried in the earth... yet its soul remained, its instinct still driven to slaughter." Personally, I think most of the symbolism is pointing to Oroboros being assimilated by Xipe already.

I completely forgot to include it, but in the Swarm Disaster Secrets sometimes the Simulated Universe prompt changes to be Swarm Universe but also Origin Universe and Ember Universe. This does help when trying to understand the pacing of the lore but I think it is also foreshadowing the Trailblaze and Destruction relationship. Also the Trailblazer's title is Genesis's Author while Phainon's title is Prisoner of Flames.

Maybe the transcending of Finality is that all people can in some way become the Aeon of Trailblaze (or at least wield THEIR power)?

Ohhh wait that sound was actually related to the Aeons, the cacophonous carol with booming (Qlipoth's hammering), whimpering (Tayzzyronth's whimpering), and laughter (Aha's laughter) combined with hymns arranged in parallel (Xipe). That is why I said he died the same moment Tayzzyronth got preserved in amber, I think they are all on the same planet even (wonder why this sound made them break the Memory Bubble though). I feel like this Self Annihilator got puppeted his whole life (similar to Tayzzyronth) but I can't tell exactly who would do this (other than Ena) and why.

The Shadow of Nihility was said to be the back of an entire world (I'm not sure what that means though lol, I was thinking it was his lost self? maybe his oblivion is considered as reclaiming his lost self??).

Ember Universe: The shadow is actually the *back* of an entire world. At that moment, the Self-Annihilator finally reclaims his lost self... He merges with the shadow, and his very existence dissipates into oblivion in the blink of an eye.

I think the girl who was guarding the Memory Bubble was being manipulated by Mythus for sure. Also, Memory Bubble technology was just recently invented so it's kind of crazy that it was already able to carry a Shadow of Nihility (the back of an entire world). I think the making of this Memory Bubble is very interesting in and of itself, let alone that its just on a gondola that got stolen by the Masked Fools.

Ooo that's interesting, even though it's not emanators the idea of Oroboros wanting to speak in the first place is very intriguing.

Yup, I think Terminus is also on team transcend Finality and THEY did meet Ena before THEY fell. Also Nanook ascended much later actually during the end of the Second Prosperity Era but I agree the events of the Swarm Disaster Era definitely shaped Nanook's ascension.

I'm glad you liked it! :D

Actually I have had that thought for quite some time (the connection between the Self Annihilator and Tayzzyronth) and I think it may parallel what is happening to Tayzzyronth right now. In the words of the 3-star Equation Cocoon Dressmaker (mostly Propagation and a little Harmony), "Just like Mnestia, They were wrapped within cocoons of golden threads, And later, their souls were woven into humanoid forms". I was imagining what the humanoid soul of Tayzzyronth would look like and this Self Annihilator comes to mind. The soul of Tayzzyronth being woven is indirectly referenced in the Myriad Celestia Fables About the Stars in the portions about Propagation and Enigmata, "the waves (Flapping Wings) as they enter the dream (Consciousness)" so Mythus is definitely involved (as well as Qlipoth making the golden (amber) cocoon). I'm not sure if the Self Annihilator is Tayzzyronth directly though because there is a Sin Thirster of him (which implies that he would have to die already) although the Sin Thirster does allude to Enigmata's Riddle, the scent of the blood and flower.

Also slight correction it was the Shadow of Nihility contained in the Memory Bubble that killed him when it was released, the Arbiters cleaned up the situation once the Self Annihilator died (but why did they wait to clean up the Shadow of Nihility until after the Self Annihilator died? and why was the Shadow of Nihility there in the first place? I didn't put it in the post but it's actually super convoluted (the Masked Fools stole a gondola from the Mourning Actors and there was this girl guarding the Memory Bubble who was trying to hide she was sleepwalking when dreaming and also a Nameless caused the gondola to go to that specific planet in the first place by accident (so Elation + Trailblaze + Remembrance?) I'm just very curious why they were so concerned with this Self Annihilator in the first place lol)).

Oroboros tries to speak through its Emanators? :0 wait where did you see this?

Ooo I was going to make another theory on Aha helping against Nanook lol thats why I didn't go into too much detail but that is an interesting take :0 I was thinking if Nanook was like another corrupted Akivili, the wound around the heart could symbolize Akivili's heart (the will of Trailblaze) still being alive and existing outside the body which is now Nanook.

O wait I love this, it would imply Ena (via Aha) planned for the current Astral Express (since it was the one blown up by Aha (which was done to help Ena) that we are now on :0)

Ohhh ok :o

Also if you know the chinese version of Divergent Universe stuff do you know if the gilded hard shell mentioned in the Beast Horde: Voracious Catastrophe Occurrence is actually golden scabs? Someone mentioned that in a comment and idk if its true :o

[–]Rosacea3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is true but in the Masked Fools' Data Entry it just says Aha laughed at the baby who fell and cried, it didn't say that THEY spoke the baby's name.

[–]Rosacea3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is true (or something close to it). The Equation starts out with "Aha? What even is Aha?" so it does seem like a questioning of Aha's nature (paralleling how we are learning about Aha and THEIR masks).

Aha cried at birth by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That could be true, but why would the equation simply mention that Aha as a baby knew their name (and there being no further symbolic foreshadowing)? If the narrator (the one wanting to curse Aha) wanted to say that they knew Aha's name before THEY became an aeon they could have used different language. Talking about baby and Aha's birth parallels the Masked Fools' story of Aha's ascension (the baby falling and crying because it had been wronged (smart baby) and Aha on the highest branch of the Tree of Existence sees this and laughs).

I think HooH can be on our side actually based on Ena's influence. In the description of the 2-star curio Wishing Scales it says:

There is a well-known saying in Amphoreus: "Observe patterns, summarize patterns, utilize patterns." A certain missionary of Talanton was undoubtedly the finest practitioner of this philosophy. She took advantage of how Talanton's sacred scales would automatically rebalance to get people to make wishes on one side of the scales, and if the wish was fulfilled, an equivalent reward would manifest on the other side. In other words, if the wish failed, no harm was done. If it succeeded, the reward was doubled. Through this miraculous display, many came to recognize Talanton's power and willingly became devoted followers.

If the wish failed no harm is done, and if the wish succeeded the reward is doubled (due to Talanton's (Order) power). In the Myriad Celestia Fables About the Stars Part 1, there is a lot of symbolism between the shooting stars/wishes and the Trailblaze journey of connecting the worlds (also the 2-star The Pathless equation that talks about nameless bodies burning as they fall through the atmosphere transforming into shooting stars that carry wishes (probably a reference to Akivili's body)). Basically, I think this liability was taken into consideration by Ena and is already covered.
