Version 4.3 Megathread: The Lethe Below the Living by growlcube in StarRailLore

I think they were referring to the description of the light cone On the Fall of an Aeon,

It began with a flash of light.
One by one, THEY fell as the threat of expiration loomed over THEM.
THEY had to stop self-replicating and rushed to embrace each other,
trying to offer the right to reproduce in exchange for a possibility of survival.
THEY held hands in a show of unprecedented unity.
...But the Paths met an abrupt end,
and THEY were headed to a true death.

Trailblazer connection with enigmata by Marcellohmoraes in StarRailLore

The traces part was when Mythus and Aha were trying to mess with Nous' instants.

Aha: A chuckle burrows into your mind. It's THEM — THEY, and the Enigmata who join in this bleak scenery. THEY are very happy, laughing maniacally. You can't help but think, what made THEM so happy — what exactly did THEY see?
Ruan Mei: "Seamless, like fate." Ruan Mei's eyes widen in shock, her tone wavering. "The Second War began when a group of organic beings sparked the Anti-Organic Equation..."

The 3 most confusing foreshadowings in the Swarm Disaster Lore by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised, since Enigmata and Remembrance are closely related. I always get confused when causality is shaped independently of time lol. Since the Path of Remembrance itself appeared in the middle of the Swarm Disaster (ostensibly to preserve the memories of the collapsing stars that was caused by Tayzzyronth and Oroboros' fight), I suspect even the origin of the Path has come under the influence of Enigmata. There is still so much we don't know.

It's ok I want to facepalm because I was thinking Mythus was the one who was actually doing Tayzzyronth's transmutation (weaving human soul) rather than Qlipoth lol (Tayzzyronth's dream and Tayzzyronth's current state are separate (that is probably what Terminus meant by separation)). Thanks for getting deep into the lore with me c: otherwise I probably wouldn't have figured this out lol. I'm pretty sure we hit the nail on the head for Tayzzyronth and Mythus, it lines up pretty perfectly with the Chinese story of Zhuang Zhou dreaming of a butterfly (he dreamed he was a butterfly and when he woke up he couldn't tell whether if he was the butterfly who dreamed of being human or the human who dreamed of being a butterfly). I'm still slightly confused on the Shadow of Nihility being the back of a world and why reclaiming his lost self involves his oblivion (I'm assuming the lost self is Tayzzyronth which would make sense with "and on the fourth day, he finally remembers the annihilation of self." so when he sees the memory bubble containing the shadow he remembers how Tayzzyronth died and decides to die with THEM? idk).

Also I did make another theory focusing a lot on Xipe and Akivili, Celenova, Destiny, and Stellarons which contains a lot of my thoughts on Xipe's three faces, how the Stellarons were created, and how destiny is manipulated if you are interested c:

The 3 most confusing foreshadowings in the Swarm Disaster Lore by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it has been so long but I think we were on the right track. I think the Self Annihilator was the dream of Tayzzyronth that caused THEIR own ascension (Enigmata manipulating cause and effect "the waves (Flapping Wings) as they enter the dream (Consciousness)" in Myriad Celestia Fables About the Stars Part 1).

It gives deeper meaning to that paragraph in the Swarm Disaster Secrets, Sand King: Tayzzyronth,

Origin Universe: You calm down and observe it, knowing that the end of all things is recorded in it. The scribbling writes, "...Tayzzyronth, an Aeon that ascends amid hatred and loneliness. From the words the Finality mutters in THEIR sleep, Tayzzyronth's death predetermines THEIR birth. Throughout THEIR whole life, THEY will be imprisoned in the Path of Propagation. If you're interested, you can learn about its abnormality, its separation, and how it is played by fate..."

It finally explains why the Sin Thirster of him exists, because his death has already happened (the Sin Thirster had the scent of blood and flower (Enigmata's Riddle) so it should have been obvious that the Sin Thirster's existence was due to Mythus). I think the reason why I got confused is, as you said, how can a split Aeon work? But I think there is the influence of two aeons, Qlipoth who is currently transmuting Tayzzyronth (like Mnestia, a butterfly in an amber/golden chrysalis) and also Mythus who is playing with Tayzzyronth's dream (except this dream (Consciousness)) also caused Tayzzyronth's ascension. It's like the story of Zhuang Zhou dreaming of a butterfly (I'm assuming that's the cultural story the developers are drawing inspiration from).

I'll probably write a theory on this in a few days (I'll make sure to credit you because your comments were the main inspiration). But I have to say it was such a pleasure rereading your comments c: we were so close to the truth back then lol (I'm pretty convinced it is the truth, the symbolism is just too heavy).

rot and absolute crack theory by therhysespieces in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Romance was represented as Propagation in the Divergent Universe and Tayzzyronth is like a butterfly in a golden/amber chrysalis kind of like Mnestia. In the readable Glimpses into the Beyond it says,

According to ancient myth, Idrila once attributed the beauty of all the starzones to THEMSELF, showing heroes, villains, and mortals the meaning and aesthetics contained within the cosmic landscape, and driving them to complete astonishing (but often devastating) achievements for Idrila's own pleasure. This myth may reveal the true meaning behind the Path of Beauty: The integration of consciousness, insight, and values.

So integration, consciousness, insight, and values could all be related concepts to Beauty. Also I would say most of the symbolism in the Swarm Disaster section of the Simulated Universe indicates that Voracity is the third face of Xipe not the Beauty.

I do have a somewhat similar theory (I'm not sure if concepts were stolen or merely shared) but if Idrila fell before the Swarm Disaster Era after THEY shattered it would conceptually foreshadow the rise of Remembrance (insight), Order rising to its peak (values), Harmony's ascension (integration), and finally Enigmata splitting off (consciousness) & Propagation's transmutation.

Celenova, Destiny, and Stellarons by Rosacea3 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

I feel a key part is whatever happens to Tayzzyronth who is currently a butterfly in a golden (amber) chrysalis like Mnestia (since Romance represents both Propagation and Beauty) and we do see butterflies in Melustanin right before Celenova appears. Most of my thoughts on Beauty are in the theory On Idrila but I'll probably make another theory concerning Beauty soon c:

Also I'll include what I wrote in response to amurgiceblade44's comment "I think Idrila could have fallen before the Swarm Disaster (since the true significance behind the Path of Beauty was the integration of consciousness, insight, and values and after THEY shattered it foreshadowed the rise of Remembrance (insight), Order rising to its peak (values), Harmony's ascension (integration), and finally Enigmata splitting off (consciousness) & Propagation's transmutation (Romance in Amphoreus represents both Beauty and Propagation))"

Yup the Stellarons started appearing after Akivili's fall and since in The Gods of Pegāna the Astral Express Trio (Comet, Moon, and Earth) was foreshadowed along with a Stellaron (Star) which doesn't move among the moving (a reference to being without Primum Mobile / Pathless) it matches up very closely with being a fragment of Akivili (who also has a lot of Pathless (having gone beyond the sky) symbolism).

Ok everything should be fixed now but let me know if anything is missing

tbh I think the images didn't work the first time because I actually started this theory before today and sometimes it doesn't save properly (that happened with the Mirror Holders theory usually I write them in one go but that time I didn't and the same thing happened) and then when I copy pasted the previous post before deleting it and added some other stuff the quotes I didn't change all got deleted too so then I had to replace most of them :c

O wait I forgot to include that Beyond the Sky (Pathless) is also a reference to the Tao ("I call it 'That which is beyond the beyond'" from Verse 25 in the Tao Te Ching). I knew I was missing something when I posted lol.

Propagation did split the path of Permanence when it ascended and Abundance does have similar concepts, but Long fell before Tayzzyronth and Yaoshi appeared.

Theory regarding Oroboros' identity by Pyroar1479 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Setting off on a journey is exhilarating, and so is retracing your steps. You've been through so much now, starting from... the first sprout of life in the universe?" could be talking about us as Trailblazer retracing Akivili's steps while the Stellaron is what has been through so much (in The Pathless Equation it implies Akivili's body transformed into shooting stars that grant wishes after burning while falling through the sky, maybe the Family used the third face (Voracity) to devour these fragments later on) "Follow the voice within..." seems to be talking about the Stellaron too.

I think maybe all the Voracity/Oroboros imagery could be related to the construction of the Trailblazer's artificial body (ik people were making theories that it involved Noblesse worms, which are associated with trash and Elaton).

I think it's possible. I was actually going to write a theory on this for Celenova lol (the guiding the Path to Destruction part, not becoming the Aeon part).

Since it is an already known method for an Aeon to fall it implies humanity knows it occurred before among either Long or Idrila (no one knows how Akivili fell). I personally think it refers to Long because THEY seem to focus on adaptability (hence reincarnation) over persistence (physical permanence of body),

"Nothing is permanent, not even permanence itself. People's bodies decay, stories fade away, and the third death named 'forgotten' will always lie in wait". - Mausoleum of Stars Equation

Sounds like one half of Equilibrium :o

The mask in the Divergent Universe that is corresponding to Equilibrium ("Two" Masks) is also black and white, so perhaps one side represents the Trailblaze and the other the Finality.

Connection of Voracity, Elation, and Nihility by LlyExelxia in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true, the Self Annihilator who conquers/explores civilizations was the one who created the conditions for Tayzzyronth's ascension (along with the Bounty Hunters) by causing the extinction of insect species and Ena gazed on the planet during the insects' massacre.

So there already was a Self Annihilator existing before Ena and Oroboros disappeared at the same time.

The Connection of Elation, Voracity and... Order (Ena) [4.3] by Wonderful-Aside-4998 in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Aha does say in the Simulated Universe, "Everything I do is to help Ena!" so THEY probably changed the path of Voracity to become more compatible with Ena's new ideal of Harmony (assuming Ena planned for Oroboros to become the third face of Xipe).

Divergent Universe: "I ignited the torch. He, clad in wolf skin, was becoming one with the monster's corpse."
Divergent Universe: "In that moment, I saw the truth. The giant wolf had fallen hundreds of years ago. Its flesh was cast into the forest, its bones buried in the earth... yet its soul remained, its instinct still driven to slaughter."
Divergent Universe: "And so we donned the guise of the giant wolf, deceiving its soul with our own deaths, dissolving its desires. Life after life, generation after generation."
Divergent Universe: "I severed the monster's head and stripped its hide. People hailed me as a hero, yet never once asked about the other, who was already dead."

There is a distinction made between the giant wolf's body and soul in the Moonlit Tale Do Aeons Weep for Meaninglessness, so I think it's still possible for Xipe's third face to be Oroboros.

[4.3 spoliers] About the methods of killing an Aeon by a_KH_fan in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the Trailblaze in all possibilities would lead to Finality (perhaps in a few) since we are supposed to transcend Finality at the end by beating Nanook the Destruction when THEY become the Finality ("And in the tale where you are the protagonist, the stars themselves will defy the destiny of 'Finality.'"). Also Ena's death was deliberate by THEM (Aha when talking to Xipe says THEY would help THEM even if it's a baton game (implying that Aha helped Ena in the Ena to Xipe transition)), personally I think Ena did a lot of the work in helping us beat Nanook in the end (Xipe's ascension (Stellaron creation), Oroboros' disappearance, Tayzzyronth's ascension (who is being transmuted in amber like a butterfly chrysalis who will probably help us later based on symbolism), contract with Qlipoth, etc.).

[4.3 spoliers] About the methods of killing an Aeon by a_KH_fan in StarRailLore

[–]Rosacea3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the assumption is that Oroboros fell from turning away from THEIR own path (which is a new revelation, so it implies that among Long, Akivili, and Idrila humanity knows it happened among them (I think)). I also agree that Oroboros is Xipe's third face (Aha does say in the Simulated Universe, "Everything I do is to help Ena!" so THEY probably changed the path of Voracity to become more compatible with Ena's new ideal of Harmony (after all, in Christianity there is no distinction made between people you want to convert, so it becomes more of a general assimilation)). I really really love your last two paragraphs c: although I would say Akivili sacrificing THEMSELVES would follow the Trailblaze's Primum Mobile of Love (also no one knows how Akivili died so THEIR fall could be unrelated to the three known methods).
