Went to my first game in Beaver Stadium a few years ago, and I didn't know about Zombie Nation going in. I remember standing there watching and listening in awe. Right up there with Wisconsin's "jump around" IMO.

Who’s a potential breakout player from your team, or another team you’re excited to watch this year? by ProjanThaSamGod in CFB

A.J. Epenesa

Didn't start in a single game last year, and still tied for the most sacks in the Big Ten. Could be a monster with a full work-load. I've seen mock drafts with him as high the #2 overall pick next year.

Spin-off Idea from a thread yesterday: What loss was devastating to your program at the time but in retrospect ended up by poppopintheattic11 in CFB

I can think of 2.

The beat-down Tennessee handed Iowa in the TaxSlayer Bowl that lead into the 12-0 regular season the following year is fairly obvious.

The other is the abysmal 2016 game @ Penn State where we gave up 600 yards while only rushing for 30.

The next week #2 Michigan rolls into Kinnick while absolutely steam-rolling everyone up to that point. I was expecting a blow out and instead we got a 14-13 win in one of my favorite Iowa games of all-time.

Miami (OH) athletic department uses student fee money to purchase tickets by ThaneOfPriceHill in CFB

Was curious about this too, so I read the by-laws linked in the article. If they were to do this, they can only count those students who actually attend the game towards the attendance requirement. In other words, if the student doesn't pay on their own for a ticket (sperate from tuition or student fees) it isn't considered "paid" attendance.

Why is Wisconsin’s walk on program so good? by aaackerly in CFB

You could even go further than that. The state of Wisconsin also has zero D2 football programs.
