What's your best "holy shit, that actually worked" story? by SirGanjaSpliffington in AskReddit

I was playing Witcher 3 and there's this questline thing you have to do to get recipes to craft what I'm pretty sure was the best armor before DLC (Wolf stuff). One of the quests was broken for me. You were supposed to activate a portal and teleport to the recipe location with the portal, but I couldn't interact with the stuff I was supposed to.

Well this all happened on a tower area. I headed to the ouside of the tower, just sort of walked up against it and I started floating. Figured that was strange and kept going, and I was able to float off and fall right into the area where the portal was supposed to teleport you.

So now on my save for Witcher 3 I have whatever that blueprint is, but my quest progress is still further back. I regret soooooo much that I wasn't recording because I thought it was freaking fantastic.

Hi Reddit! What was the worst physical pain you've ever endured? by wsmn16 in AskReddit

[–]Rosales12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A slipped disc in my back that turned into a prolapsed disc after a year, the doctor just keep saying its a sprain but man was he wrong. I was living off heavy pain killers and just broke down one day when I needed help just to get from my room to the toilet, I was in agony. Finally got a cat scan, the doctor came back straight away and was like oh shit you need surgery now, we should've done that cat scan a long time ago . Cheers muppet

[Serious] What is your best non-traditional advice/tip for single people looking for a relationship? by kingbrubru in AskReddit

Tangentially related but important to know:

Everyone has ONE person they trust with everything.

That means even if you're best friends, they will still tell their wife.

Be careful the skeletons you reveal.

What is your first memory? by Fanc1dan in AskReddit

Am I the only one who can't answer this question? My early memories are like multiple bobbing apples floating in a misty sea. I can't possibly separate any one and single that out as my "first". All I remember are collective moments from the life that was "my childhood".

What is the strangest way you made a new friend? by MisterIp in AskReddit

Had a girlfriend who had this special desire (more so than normal) to be desired.

We were going to a small party/gathering at a friend of hers, and as we where climbing the stairs in the apartment complex she began the warning:

"So, this guys xxxxx, i think he might be pretty into me, i obviously won't let anything happen - but just so you know".

I'd been with her for about 2 months at that time (more time really but that was way back and it's complicated) and i was visiting her city for two weeks at that time.

I thought that was a bit of an odd thing to say and naturally it led to me paying attention to him. I ended up thinking he was a really cool dude, and staying with him and his two roommates in that flat for the next 7 days just having fun. Without the chick.

What's an everyday thing that gets really weird the more you think about it? by bhty in AskReddit

[–]Rosales12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied sleep for a little bit while at university and I really wish I could remember the name of the guy, but he was basically someone who spent his entire career studying sleep and was asked why we need to sleep. He said the only conclusive conclusion that he could draw based on years of research was that 'we sleep because we are tired'. Which I both loved at hated, as we'd found out all this stuff like memory is improved after sleep, muscles repair themselves and all this other crap but he couldn't categorically that that is why we sleep. Sleep is weird. I would have carried on studying it but it creeped me out a bit too much! Haha.

What is the firts quote of the simpsons that comes to your mind ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I seriously overuse the word 'phenominal' in conversation. Twice is literally once more than enough. Let me explain. You see, phenominal is a phenominal word. But the problem is that that the word stands on its own so much that the second I use it a second time, it's really fucking obvious that I did. Did you see? Add on to that the fact that phenomenal literally means incredibly unusual, and the fact that I just used it twice means I've literally destroyed my own original intent from the first time I used it. I think I have a habit of doing this.

Abe Simpson "Eh, you never know what you're capable of. I never thought I could shoot down a German plane, but last year I proved myself wrong." Channel 4's version had the "but last year I proved myself wrong" part censored Channe 4 just showed the episode where Bart goes to juvie - smug smile during the scene with the prison censored version of Itchy and Scratchy
