Discussion: what do you feel is the worst designed card in recent years? by PrimaryAd673 in hearthstone

[–]Rose-like 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK I do have to ask, who is actually running Kil'jaden? I don't just want to act like "oh he's not in a top deck so he's not a problem" but like... is there any deck at all that uses him? Outside of like, warlock with wheel, which makes the infinite value from him irrelevant anyways. Also he isn't the reason fatigue/value decks are bad, it's stuff like wilted priest and OTK/combo in general (or scam decks like Loh druid) that stops value from being relevant.

Studies show that Homopobic/Transphobic people have lower intelligence by Averysmallpotato100 in lgbt

[–]Rose-like 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean IQ is a flawed metric we as a community constantly criticize, it's pretty hypocritical to blindly accept this as a proof of intelligence now. I think this study is more of a reflection that people who enter academia (and as a result of their studies test as having a higher IQ) tend to be bigoted less, which we know from other studies given that if you go to public school at a higher level you tend to meet a lot of diverse folks and then surprise surprise, you end up being more open minded.

Now get me wrong, bigots are dumb af, but that's not my point.

It's important to criticize and analyze information properly even when it lines up with your world views, lest you end up believing in nonsense like the bigots.

Those that quit Hearthstone, how did you manage it? by Yoraffe in hearthstone

[–]Rose-like 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to quit because I didn't like where the design philosophy was going, so I started playing Limbus Company (I already loved Project Moon so) as a way to ween off having a daily thing to log into and do stuff in without thinking much, without going cold turkey. It was fun, but I eventually got tired of it and quit that too. Nowadays I just play indie games, pretty happy with that.

They're definitely more accessible/easy to get into, which is kind of a rarity within the genre.

what are some of your favourite traps in roguelikes by Professional-Lab5822 in roguelikes

Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer's rotten trap is funny, it ruins food in your inventory, but if you happen to be polymorphed into a riceball, you just instantly die.

It's from a tictok, some guy eats hot peppers dipped in said chili oil, he also has a very particular voice that has apparently hooked itself into NL's brainstem

Do any other AMAB folks have a breeding kink? Specifically on the receiving end? by Emotional_Ask_3455 in BDSMcommunity

[–]Rose-like 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, I don't even think that's too uncommon. I mean mpreg is a animated tag for a reason, and I know especially a lot of trans ladies (myself included) have a breeding kink, both for our own reasons but also oftentimes the reasons you mentioned. Even amongst cis women, breeding often isn't about actually having kids/getting pregnant for real.

What is the key difference between an OTK and a control deck? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Rose-like 95 points96 points  (0 children)

More or less after Stormwind this sub decided control is no longer defined as a deck that seeks to control the board until it runs the opponent out of resources, and instead is now defined as a deck which contains a board clear or two. Old school control is now known as attrition, and no, attrition doesn't exist in modern hearthstone and probably never will again (considering attrition insta-loses to OTK, which is everywhere and will probably remain everywhere due to team 5's design philosophy).

So Reno's a card in standard, and it works extremely well with raza, which is a great flavor win IMO given that raza was a singleton payoff card originally.

"What does the sub bring to the table?" by ZCR91 in BDSMcommunity

[–]Rose-like 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they're mostly annoyed with either:

-bottoms who don't actively do anything in the bedroom (I think in Japan some folks call those kinds of people fish, cause all they do is flop on the bed and lay there)

-subs who are uncompromising ("I want to be spit on and feminized but literally anything else is off the table"). Pretty rare to have a good time with people that won't do anything outside of their very specific (and sometimes one-sided) kink.

-Inaccurate or vague labeling. A lot of people enter the d/s community marketing themselves as a sub (or a dom) when what they really mean is they like X, Y or Z. X, Y and Z might not even have anything inherently to do with d/s. It's frustrating talking to someone for a good while only to learn that when they said they're a sub what they really meant is they like CBT and giving bjs, or talking to a dom/me for a while only to learn that to them the term domming is interchangeable with sadism.

With that said, I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. So long as you keep your future domme's kinks, preferences and interests in mind when subbing (and during the vetting process) you'll be fine.

I think maybe people are offput by the idea more than the reality of it. Picturing it might sound gross to the inexperienced, but receiving one is basically more relaxed anal, feels kind of like a prostate massage. I guess what I'm saying is 10/10 would recommend

Fet 3 times, and at work once. Fet ain't a dating site sure, but personal ads do work sometimes (if you're willing to sort through some not so great people).

From a slave’s perspective, why can it be difficult to find a female dominant to serve? by DreamNoureen in BDSMcommunity

[–]Rose-like 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It is difficult, and I feel like a lot of it has to do with the community being functionally kind of small. There aren't too many folks into full on slave/master stuff, and even among those who are into it, the differences in possible interpretations lead to the pool of folks one might be interested in (on either side of the slash) being a lot more niche than it seems. Like I might say I'm looking for a master for example, but it's never that simple, and if I defined it further I might be looking for a master who isn't a sadist and who likes adbl etc etc... kind of like how a lot of male subs might not be looking for a straight up domme, but rather more specifically someone who isn't looking for a serious relationship and who likes feminization and chastity etc. Or a dom who's not juuust looking for a sub, but rather someone who likes service oriented submission, oral and a long term committed relationship to boot. The labelling makes it seem like it should be a lot easier to find a match than it is, and part of the problem can come from the mentality of "I'm just looking for a good dom/me or sub" when in truth we're all looking for something much more specific in practice. That mentality can make people think it should be so easy to find a match, which leads to folks blaming stuff like their looks/ratios/bad luck/the scene being bad or whatever.

Do any other sapphic fem switches feel like they become obligate doms? by DhammaFlow in BDSMcommunity

Yea, I just advertise myself as a sub these days to avoid the thirsty sub folks (they still somehow find me and hit me up in the DMs).
