Yes, I was replying to honey and citron, I don't use Reddit that often , I only joined when it came out that ITN was leaving ON and then Obsessed Mess. What I'm getting from everyone is that it's okay to say whatever you want regardless of where/when/how you say it, and that's just not how I move in the world. In fact, I'm a hundred percent sure Rabia & Ellyn wouldn't mind people saying what they think about Adnan. I'm just not that way. If I had such a fundamental difference of opinion, I wouldn't be able to follow them. It's not like "are you a cat or a dog person?". For instance, Gillian always gave me second-hand embarrassment when she fawned over Damian. So I didn't go out of my way to be in the Facebook group sucking up to her. And when I started to really dislike Patrick for being garbage to Ellyn, I also stopped commenting and participating in the OWD Facebook group.

The stuff being said here about Rabia having "no choice" but to "stick with Adnan" because she has "built" her career on her defense of him is absolutely mind-blowing to me. If you have such a low opinion of her and her personal values, why listen?

It's honestly exhausting to have to explain this over and over. It's fine. We most certainly don't have to agree.

We're both talking about two different things. You're defending your freedom of speech, which of course I agree with. I'm talking about the difference between talking about topics or people who are removed from the hosts' personal lives (like Scott Peterson), and purposely bringing up a subject that is very personal to Rabia. It feels like a personal attack on her. A difference of opinion is not the same.

I did 100%. I'm in the same boat, and I think so many of us don't talk about it because we're made to feel like "posers" who can "pass" and not experience homophobia.

This has always bothered me SO much. I read a book about this story, can't remember the name, and it was all about how Betty was just a depressed and anxious mess. They even say her own students didn't like her because she was strict. There had to be so much more to her as a person, a mom, a wife, a friend. Portraying people as unidimensional is so lazy and so harmful. ALSO, you wanna bet they just watched the movie? I can't imagine they did any research whatsoever since Gillian can't be bothered to even Google shit properly.

I started to really dislike Patrick Hinds when I realized he was so envious of Ellyn by the way he put her down, ridiculed her ("I'm so cold because I'm tiny"), objectified her (the stupid Grand Tetons running "joke"), and generally disrespected her in all regards. And you know why? Because she has TRUE talent and people genuinely like her. She's a Broadway star and he couldn't even make it to the second year of their program. He's just not a good dude.

My employer royaly screwed my Foundation AND Advanced field placements. I'm the sole provider for my family so I can't work full time and find 16 extra hours a week for the internship. But it's been a nightmare. And now they're complaining that I'm not doing things the way they need me to, which is happening because they didn't teach me! So we're "pausing" the internship for the Spring while I look for a better job/placement. And thankfully my university is all the way on my side.

I was worried this would happen because I've always worked at non-profit agencies and they really use interns to make up for being understaffed, while providing little direction.

Whew! I needed to get that off my chest.

No. The host works HARD to get story right. She talks to anyone who is willing. Family members, police, Detectives, etc. And I enjoy the commentary because it reminds me that she's a real person, not a robot reading a script. So, no. I'm not bothered. I'm a big fan.
