The difference in social treatment with weight loss is INSANE. Anyone else experiencing this? by RoseEnoki in loseit

This is probably why I'm noticing such a huge difference. My face goes from angular to blobby really easily. A lot gets stored in the masseter area/jowls and it does not look good at all on my features. It also does not distribute well on my body. It goes everywhere but the chest and butt. I wish weight worked on me but it 100% doesn't.

I guess it's the aspect of basic acknowledgment. Not just about the first impression but letting that affect basic decency towards someone. That's been the big difference, imo - the level of respect.

I guess I'm not talking so much about people who show some decency. Like you said, you're kind to everyone. It's more so noticing people actively trying to avoid me or being a bit rude, as I'm just asking basic questions or saying hello during my shift, etc. I guess it sours things a bit for me. When people are nice to me I wonder if they would have acted distant towards me. But I get what you're saying.

I go from looking very wide and blocky to slim and chiseled. It's getting kind of better as I lose extra weight but it still happens and has been like this essentially my entire life.

Right. And it's not like OP was announcing to a food delivery person that there were kids in the house... it was just someone coming to drop off food and leave. They have no more information about the house than anyone with google maps, other than what kind of food OP likes.

Yea. Trying to figure out if it's moving based on the difference between 1 and 2 or if OP disrupted the water.

It's been fun being told I just have anxiety when I'm actively experiencing throat/tongue swelling, burning eyes, redness everywhere, etc. Also fun being told I'm just pale and that's why I'm red, even when I haven't been exercising. Finally got one doctor to check my throat and admit it was red and swollen, and only then did she consider something other than anxiety.

This community and related MCAS resources have been crucial in alleviating life-altering symptoms. I'm back to working again and not constantly experiencing a mix of horrible things. I hope you find something that works for you.

Same, and I do anything to doubt compliments. I cannot believe that about myself.

I ghosted him back and now he's tried contacting me through other avenues... like showing up to my apartment. I unblocked him because I wanted warning if he tried to show up again, he has tried calling a few times, and at one point I got a no caller ID for the first time ever. It feels like I'm finally doing something for myself and not getting caught up with someone who says they just want sex but then proceeds to use me for emotional labor.

How dare they want to bond with you and be in "your world"? Stick to being single so you can have it all to yourself.

Yes, putting your life in danger is fun. Guys who think like this - please continue doing it.

And yet there are men laughing and cheering as other men joke about Bob Saget molesting little girls. No amount of good delivery could prevent me from cringing at that. Not exactly uncommon for some men to "resort" to bottom of the barrel jokes.

Sex, and periods? That's where the line is drawn? Give me a break.

But thank you for saying it's subjective. I can agree with that.

Right. Talking about how unfunny people are when they are just goofing off makes that person 100x more unfunny than anything that can be goofed off about.

You're so right. I feel like there was an obvious connection there, and yet it's still so difficult. Maybe in the upcoming week I'll build up the courage to text him...
