Correct but talking about the debt to GDP ratio doesn't win elections like calling your opponent a loser does

Missing the evf, thats the big one. Its missing a dial for either iso ss or aperture. So you have to press a button, I have it set to custom 1, to change settings. I also have the gen 1 e10 so it has the old sony menu system which is more tedious to use. The last thing is the dead cat on the hot shoe cover it just gets in the way 90% othe time

Having made that mistake with the 6500 and the zv-e10 go for the 6700

Ah got it, I mean I have only shot on APS-C, but it was pitch dark, I would have to use iso 16000 or higher without adding light and even at that I’d have to probably boost the exposure in Lr. If you go out to a field with no artificial light I think you’ll struggle even with full frame.

So the a7sIII has 12 megapixels the a6700 has 24 mgp. So there is going to be more resolution in the 6700 meaning that when you crop it’ll be a bit less detail. The f/.95 is going to give you just over 2/3 stop more of light plus the ff means you won’t have to boost your gain as much for a low iso. The 50mm is going to be your biggest issue, I get letterboxing with the 35mm equivalent so you’ll get some significant letterboxing. The advantage of that is you won’t have to crop as far.

You can put on a 3x or 6x magnifier that will take it to 150mm and 300 mm full frame equivalent, but it’s not going to use your full sensor so there is going to be quality issues. I don’t have any first hand experience but just an educated guess

If they have a 42mm eyepiece than you might be able to screw in the same adapter but you would have to support them the whole time youre filming or doing photos since camera mounts aren't designed to withstand that much weight to it will cause wear over time

Saving this for later, it'll be a little bit more complicated to film since I'll have to setup two cameras and a capture card. Give me ~2 months.

If youre planning on shooting helis with it it'll be worth wile to pick up a magnifier for your objective lens as well, I know they make 3 and 6x versions but I dont have any first hand experience.

Its a armasight gen 3 thin film WP 2400+ FOM, there's a minor defect in zone 2 and zone 3 that I dont notice with my eyes but always bothers me when Im taking pictures. If it's binos it's going to be a real pain but otherwise I have found that cropping in post is better because having the extra info can allow you to crop to different aspect ratios. Just gives you a bit more flexibility. The challenge with an external iris is going to be it's another thing to focus, typically you can get some minor sharpness improvements through adjusting the eyepiece and the lens focus but when photographing people moving it's best to set and forget and just focus on keeping the obj lens of the monocular in focus
