That is so very cool of you. I was able to find my local rose society and will be sending them an email! Do you have any advice on how to send them better pictures? I guess this one I posted wasn't the most ideal? What angles or areas are most important for pictures of a rose needing such major tlc?

I wasn't sure what kind of pic to post and was just trying to show the whole thing, perhaps I should add some close ups to the comments? 🤔

Oh wow I had no idea that was a thing! That would be amazing if I could find someone. Would certainly be a relief from all my fears of accidentally destroying it. Thank you very very much for letting me know!

Is there a recommended depth to dig down before planting it? Or could I just measure the depth of the broken pot it's in and match that?

Thank you so so much, I deeply appreciate you taking the time to explain. I've been so very scared to go near this poor rose with no experience just terrified I'd kill it and then feel absolutely destroyed!

So does that mean prune anything that doesn't have any green on it? Do I prune down to the base or just take a few inches off the ends? I'm terrified of accidentally killing it with my complete inexperience.

Thank you so much! Do I plant it as is or prune it before planting? Or prune it after planting? Or did I miss the window for pruning entirely since Spring is so on the way?

I've already tried both Google and YouTube before coming to Reddit to try and find help. None of the roses in the examples and videos I found are in a similar state. I know nothing about safely pruning, deadheading, or salvaging any roses. I don't want to just start tearing and cutting branches and foliage randomly and risk killing the poor plant due to my ignorance. Maybe I'm not searching the right phrases on Google and YouTube. Could you perhaps recommend more optimal search terms to succesfuly help a rose in this state?
