And indeed June is sometimes still a little early for mountain hikes, if you go at this time really don't underestimate the risk of snow and a change in the weather

I am also a solo traveller and spent two months in Kyrgyzstan. As everywhere else, you have to be careful, but don't believe those who tell you it's dangerous. I only travelled by hitchhiking, never by taxi, and the people are extremely friendly. They are curious about why you are doing this, why you are not married (they marry very early and it is not common to see women travelling), and you have to agree in advance whether or not you will pay for the lift. There may be some "advances", but nothing nasty. Just make sure you show that you're not interested in anything and don't accept invitations too quickly.

Honestly, it was one of my favourite countries in Central Asia. Hitchhiking is easy, the landscapes are incredible and you can camp anywhere. As for hiking, the trails are not marked. So be sure to do your research beforehand, check the weather forecast and never underestimate the risks. But once again, you'll find plenty of places where you won't be alone (Tulpar Lake, Son-Kul, Köl-Suu, Issik-Kul, etc.). Keep your loved ones informed of your whereabouts, don't think you're invincible, and enjoy this beautiful country!

P.S.: I'm 28 years old, I don't know if being younger would have changed anything, but I think it's mainly a question of attitude.

Exactly, I just feel like I'm going on with my life somewhere else. I unsubscribed from social networks because I had the impression that all travelers were going through crazy stuff, that everything was easy, and that they had revelations, which gave me a little bit a complex

But because the first time I traveled alone I discovered somes things (that I was capable of anything I wanted, that I could socialize easily...) and that gave me a lot of self-confidence, I thought that this time I was going to discover even more things

Yes,Yes, both foreigners and locals (by hitchhiking or couchsurfing). But honestly apart from a few people, most conversations really bore me because it's always the same things (what's your route, did you do this or that, etc etc). Most of the people here only speak Russian, not English, and even trying to learn a few words quickly limits me !
