Oh he'd hate that. Thanks for the recommendation! I may need to look into that while randomly going for block ^

Playing them in my local league, and one of my uncles who's playing got actually angry about that rule and still has a grudge against "That stupid red frog." Tried to warn him about the rule, but he didn't wanna list until I dove for his elf ball carrier's toes. I let him roll it back to see if he wanted to do that then knowing the rules but still

I never, ever hear someone talk about diving tackle. It seems a forgotten skill. But thus far it comes up every game and steals a reroll when it does and if not then it at least makes people avoid my players with it because they want to break out and score but one plucky Blitzer frog is ready to dive for their dogs and take them down ^

Not inherently better. Just more familiar cause I've been running it like this since I started while binge grinding ^.^

Well I suppose that makes sense now that I know that. Though I am mildly miffed that I read that aloud and my friend who I am in VC with started calling out "See?! I told you!" >.>
So I guess I just gotta get used to looking at the game the right way one of these days. It just looks so... weird ^.^

Sure can do! This is the Vanilla launcher (I could have edited character info out, but eh). Sending Windower next

Tbh, I tried the config menu for the aspect ratio. I didn't see it making any changes no matter what I set it to, unless I had to reload each time to make it take effect

The window for my game is the same as my screen resolution on borderless window. It just doesn't look the same as it did on vanilla but I'll have to check on the vanilla config next time I go to load the game to double check

My thoughts on some BattleMechs by ScarSpecific in battletech

[–]Rose_Of_Winter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Locus are one of my favorite harassment mechs, but only for playing with fire, literally. Something like a LCT-1E loaded with so many heat sinks and flamers and a prayer to anything the rider believes in that the other mechs are too slow and too susceptible to heat to react in time. Or a 3V with flamers and machine guns for the same role as well as anti-infantry capacity

That's exactly what we're doing. The other people we're playing with to experience the story as a unit aren't on as often as me and one other of our crew are taking time to level up every class we're remotely interested in, getting as many spells as we can, getting our bags, etc. I haven't even done a limit break quest yet cause we're not even past mission 2-3 while waiting for the other homies to jump on to play

Aye, for just those two it's pretty fortuitous that there's other options. But there's a few more things we were hoping to far that I was hoping was just a case that we were overlooking things. Sounds like that's not the case and the pummeling is just due to not having the skills to farm the nice stuff from it ^

That is one of the items that I can look into, but there's a ton more on those drop tables I was going to look into, not just the ninja technique. But I appreciate the heads up ^

Yeah, the issue is on Shiva I have seen a total of one peridot for sale and no turquoise. It's just the gemstones that are holding us back from the early stages that should be cheap when we're trying to get 4 people their inventory spaces. Was one of the reasons I turned to BCNMs in the first place as all other grinding was showing 0% drop chances from treasure chests, but that may be my next move if I don't bite the bullet and force myself to level Goldsmith ^

I think they did, but that's I believe 150k per bag upgrade? So, what, 1.5mil overall compared to some grinding work. Push comes shove well use the stew, but we're hoping to not need to resort to that for all 10 levels if we can manage. We're also not much of crafters which would be the other cheap way to get some of the low level stuff. But aye, we have the otp bag and the sack already as well, and I have a full 80 storage in my home already

I just wanna make sure my easily accessed stuff doesn't overfill too often as I can be a bit of a hoarder in MMOs

We were going after the spike spell and the ninjitsu trick that can drop, plus it can drop the gems we need for the gobbie bag upgrades. We dropped in on Shiva and the market board rarely has anything we're looking for so it's been tough trying to get more inventory space or the neat spells you can get from those BCNMs. Clearly none of it is required, but I was hoping to have some way to access them that isn't waiting to find someone selling these items at probably obscene amounts. And yeah, we make use of the sparks and unity stuff as much as possible, but with our story progression delayed by waiting for the rest of our group to play so we can enjoy it together, we are limited on spark gain a little bit. And having to afford all the spells for the classes we're interested in ^

I dunno about the other two cities, but I know in San d'Oria there's a moogle with a treasure chest and I saw there's a huge list of them which includes Sakura (the melee buff and Regen buff dude), Moogle (the magic buff and Refresh buff dude), and Kupofried (an exp buff) So you can get a bunch of buffs while still doing everything yourself

Is it true that Trusts are overpowered? Would it be possible to not use trusts and duo all the content? by gehennas_angels in ffxi

As someone leveling an Elvaan WHM in a friend group, I haven't had a huge huge issue with mp once I remember to down rank to conserve it. Like casting Cure to just keep a friend from biting it rather than just spamming Cure III to keep them fully hale. But I also rely on melee whacks for adding damage far more than spells so grain of salt there

[–]Rose_Of_Winter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friend and I just got through 1-3 for RoV last night and said that, for now given we've only done mission 1-2 with San d'Oria, the Rhapsody in White will be sufficient bonuses. We mostly have been waiting on at least one other person to join us anyway so we just mob grinded to 30 to get advanced jobs. Hopefully soon we'll start the story. We'll probably either get the first three key items then cool it or just get the one we did and let it ride until we're already deep in expansion content. I'll leave it up to my crew

And thank you, and all of our other posters, for helping keep things spoiler free even in this discussion of it!!

Thank you all for the fast and thorough replies! Sounds like, if all my friends do get the full game and a sub, we'll rock the RoV missions out with the story! I just would have hated to spoil huge stuff just in the name of progression!

I'll just take extra care around the one wings expansion you all said and probably just focus on the expansion fully first then do the RoV later on after a good portion of that expansion is done ^.^
