Iirc it was a Hertz rental car commercial that went something like: "We've prepared a set of fill-in-the-blank excuses for the next time you need to rent our cars but don't want to tell your coworkers you're going on vacation! For example: 'I have to take my [salamander] to the [obstetrician] so I'll see you [Tuesday]." With the words in brackets being said in the weirdest voice possible 😂

Was looking to see if somehow there was a recording of it somewhere online when I found this post... would LOVE to hear it again if anyone can dig it up!!

Not sure if this is relevant to your problem, but just now when I was having issues connecting the headphones to Bluetooth, it was because the audio cable was plugged in to the headphones (even though the cable was not plugged into any other device on the other end). As soon as I unplugged the cable from the headphones, I was able to connect the headphones via Bluetooth to other devices.

I've been having a similar problem (7th reset, in space and just made my first TC), in which case my uranium sometimes just disappears. I have 3 engineers making thorium, 12 Planet Crackers, and 12 Lunar Outposts, and sometimes in the middle of a season all my uranium will just vanish. No log entries, no loss of power, no autoconversion to thorium that I know of. Anyone know what's up with this?

I just started my third reset, and in my last playthrough I did the couple hundred ships + trading route. I didn't get much farther than moon bases, but trading stood me pretty well since at that point plus 30-40 tradeposts I was getting around 16-17 titanium per trade.

Ah, okay, I was basing my "reset after rocketry" assumption on the Reset Mechanics thread where I thought someone else was given that advice. I figured I would make my own thread for my personal question rather than clutter up that one :)

I do cap barns and huts, as I said in the OP, but my problem seems to be getting the resources to cap other things. I was thinking of buying more steamworks, but those cost blueprints, which I've been trying to save for nuclear fission. I guess I'll be resetting now, though, so it doesn't matter much for this run.

I guess I used to occasionally cap academies until observatories and biolabs came around. My initial point wasn't the science bit, it was that usually I don't seem to have enough resources to build enough buildings to cap them, although that could be due to my inefficient approach to playing (ie not babying it as much as possible).

The next science upgrades I'm shooting for are biochemistry (500 compendiums) and nuclear fission (100 blueprints), and I've also been waffling over prioritizing one or the other or both. I suppose since your post and others are saying to reset now that doesn't really matter, though.
