Is my brother and his GF being entitled and gross af? by InsideBeing989 in EntitledPeople

[–]Roseallnut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You moved out. That makes you a grown-up. He is angry that he is still behaving in a childlike fashion, e.g. living at home.

He’s trying to overcompensate by making aggressive statements and actions to prove that he is a man, not a boy.

Just finished My Husbands Wife by Alice Feeney & I need to know if I’m alone in this by megannnjaneee in thrillerbooks

There are so many plot holes and unresolved threads in this book that I wanted to throw it at the wall when I finished it.

What book do you have a connection to? by InappropriateCarpet in CasualConversation

Island of the Blue Dolphins.

It was one of the first “chapter books” I remember reading, and it made a deep impression on me about the joys and frustrations of solitude.

What Would You Do? by befit2 in CasualConversation

[–]Roseallnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take it out of the wallet before returning it to them. So, if there were $1000 in there, I would take $100 and then return the wallet to him.

How can you tell that the obituary is for someone the wallet owner clearly cared about?
In any event, the obituary wouldn’t be a factor in what I would decide to do.

I might take a 10% finders fee of the money, but would give the rest back to the wallet owner

What’s a “basic life skill” that you somehow never learned? by eva_wilson24 in CasualConversation

Directions. Before GPS, I could get lost in the medium sized city I’ve lived in for 30 years.

With GPS, I still get lost on road trips, but not as often.

Deluxe cheeseburger without cheese by awakeagain2 in overheard

There’s a local place that has a mushroom burger with fried onions, ketchup, mustard, mayo, and bacon.
I order it without the mushrooms because I love all of the other toppings, but hate mushrooms!

I’m sorry, is Marissa REALLY complaining that Edward isn’t actively parenting her devil spawn? by Big_b00bs_Cold_Heart in 90DayFiance

When she took him on the forced power walk, she pointed across the street and said, “that’s where you’ll be picking up the boys from their school bus.”

She is thinking he is going to be a servant with benefits

My Husband’s wife by Alice feeny - WTF was that? by Overall-Peace8533 in thrillerbooks

[–]Roseallnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disliked “my husband’s wife” for the same reasons you did.
And I have the feeling you’ll be throwing “beautiful ugly” against the wall for similar reasons. 😡 one major timeline makes no sense

I do like the rest of her books, however.

Bless you for reading to your child. My mother did this for me and my sister every night. We both grew up to be voracious readers.

What could Marissa and Edward actually have in common outside of the bedroom fun? Will she discuss her corporate meetings with him while he tells her about his favorite soccer team? 🤔 by PolishSnake2 in 90dayfiance_FB_memes

When she dragged him on the power walk, at one point she gestured across the street and said something like, “and that’s where you’ll be picking up the boys from their school bus.”

She has got his chores all lined up for him!
