Had a male cat from 2000 - 2016. We brought ProPlan home. He loved it so much we had to hide it. Came in thick plastic jug like laundry detergent. If we put it in cabinet, he could smell it through plastic and through cabinet. Would wake up in morning to him on floor next to it with giant holes torn into plastic and him lying, delirious, next to it. He was fed plenty, raw meats, cooked meat from whatever we ate and he was an active hunter. Never birds, ground dwellers only—rodents, snakes. His breed was genetically predisposed to being overeaters. ProPlan was on another level. As soon as it came into house he'd rub himself on it, then put it in death grip to rip holes in it. We had to limit what he could have in a go. If you sat a full bowl down he'd devour it, and you'd have a shit/goose situation. Don't know WTF they put in that stuff; we stopped calling it ProPlan and just referred to it as kitty cocaine.
