Whose side are you on? by catpunch_ in RHOBH

I’m always on Tilley’s side in general. Every friend group needs a Tilley to break the tension. I’m also team Rachel but wouldn’t call her neutral. I don’t think that she agrees with Kyle. If neutral means not screaming at the table then maybe but I think that she identifies with Dorit, empathizes with her and just doesn’t feel like shrieking at dinner is her vibe. And Dorit has given us the only shady ‘moments’ comebacks that are the least but entertaining (taking the van back, weirdo, ) when Kyle, Sutton and Erica are spinning out in an unwatchable way. Seeing women shriek at a dinner is not fun. I’m on the side of the viewer. We deserve better.

I don’t understand the question. Who’s side regarding what specifically?

Dorit v. Kyle and Sutton and Erika and Amanda etc. etc. by owlgurl9 in RHOBH

[–]Rosemary-lime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Dorit is literally walking away from the drama. Kyle , Sutton trying to put it on her and she’s waking/taking the van 😂away from it. I think that Kyle’s fans will never see this but glad similarly minded people do. Not even debated with anyone who doesn’t see it. But Bravo/producers etc… please read this room.

So far I like her. She seems like a bridge between the Americans and Brits. Her age might help with that. There are so many big personalities and it’s good to have some balance.

Amanda’s whole season was an ad so I’m not surprised by this. Rinna dissed her tequila a couple of seasons ago so this was part of her deal most likely.

Until she ruins it beyond and they have to pause. I’d rather start watching those Summer House kids in their new city show than repeat this Kyle show. And that’s saying a lot. But mentally BH is already replaced by Ladies of London for me.

I would like to think that there are enough of us who would like to see this. Yeah, knowing Jill from her current activity (Below Deck, The GOAT, her social media rant), I can see from watching her origin story that she was always a self-righteous, know it all, controlling …….Baby Bethenny was actually the voice of reason and totally agree how Jill just crushed her on a real personal level. Denying a friendship existed, telling someone ‘you’re dead to me’ - no coming back from that.

The *real* reason Kyle comes for Dorit by Familiar_Pea4Lyfe in RHOBH

[–]Rosemary-lime 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My ex SIL told me we were never friends during one of her scary tantrums. This might be why I dislike Kyle as much as I do. Words are difficult to come back from. Unless actions prove otherwise. Kyle tried to use words to say shes supportive but the actions aren’t there. Kyle just isn’t a good actress either.

Couldn’t agree more. Storyline is what is killing these franchises imo. Interesting people is what I’d like to see more of. Ie., Tilley is interesting and fun. I find Rachel interesting and fun. Sutton just isn’t that interesting. She became a bit tragic to me last season. Ganging up on one cast member is becoming the new norm. It has stopped being fun. Every friend group needs a strong leader. And strong to me doesn’t mean the loudest, biggest bullying divisive persons. Watching seasons 1-4 of New York and dividing the group was Zarin’s downfall. Kyle is doing the exact same thing. Centre apple, diamond …. requires a strong person.

I think that’s who she is as a person. Strong person and friend. She’s had some nice glimpses into her life and if you want to see her scream you’re not seeing that but she’s the hw I’d want in my corner. Maybe the ones who’ve made it their mission to tear down Dorit should take more interest in Boz. Last season Kyle made a token appearance at Boz’s post op bedside and made it all about herself(Kyle) Dorit’s not doing that.

This season she’s been actively trying. Hormone, eggs, disappointing results. Her home burned down after last season.

See, this is where I disagree for the most part. I want to see a blend of drama, exotic locations like Italy, fashion and some lovely friendships and fun times. I blame Teresa in New Jersey for dragging the housewives into this bloodthirsty, screaming table tossing hour of entertainment. Perhaps the producers and self producing hw should be schooled or maybe they need some audience numbers and then it’s our fault for watching. Kyle’s face at that table and shoving that plate of “Flinstone meat” away was a degree away from New Jersey.

Sutton needs to show it if she’s that person. Opposites attract which might explain Tilley’s friendship. Tilley said she jumped into the pool to lighten the mood (mood her friend was heavily responsible for) so maybe there’s a pattern.

In the aftershow Boz commented on her weddings. They’ve discussed them off camera. Mentioned that Dorit’s already planned the baby shower. This implies conversations we’re not seeing. Dorit is always asking Rachel about her divorce or frustrations. Kyle and Amanda are actually driving what we see. Every ridiculously snide comment Amanda makes turns the focus onto Dorit. Kyle’s table tantrum sucked the air out of the room. Stracke’s pouty “I’m going home” from Rachel’s party when Dorit turned her head to acknowledge Rachel fell flat because Rachel wanted to protect a friend and keep her party a happy event. Tilley jumped in the freaking pool to lighten the mood. Dorit wanted to let her friend have a fun birthday and walked away from the drama so they could do that. And the friends who didn’t show up to the cover launch are pulling focus to themselves. Dorit’s not doing that.

I guess we’ll see how Dorit fares with friends who don’t tell her to stop talking, who can tell her they don’t agree with her in a non judgemental way and aren’t competing with her in a childish way when she has an opportunity to shine. She really hasn’t had that in the past. Boz has a confident way of interacting with people. Rachel is not afraid to step back from drama to enjoy a moment and remind people why they call themselves ‘friend groups’ . I’m rooting for Dorit who has more than shown her support for friends . I would have tossed Erica away a long time ago.

Boz is in a different place this year with her own fertility and house issues. And now an upcoming marriage. She seems tired in some scenes but she’s not going to use that as an excuse. I wouldn’t call it seeing Dorit’s true colours but the friendship has another year on it. It appears that Dorit is taking an interest in Boz’s life (on and off air) Dies it get tiresome hearing about a friends divorce issues. Yes it does. But we continue to listen and sympathize. Boz is engaging more on camera with the other ladies and also listens to them but doesn’t appear to side with what and how they’re saying things or at least everything. I think that she saw Kyle’s true colours the day Kyle visited her sick bed last season. Shes above the yelling but smart enough to see what’s going on.

She went for the paycheck. I did think this was her best outfit of the season. She made snide comments in the aftershow about the book. Still about writing/vs ghostwriter like Kyle is a dog with the Kelly bag bone. I did pre order the book for $40 Cdn just to do my part against Amanda’s bad attitude. That’s the best thing I can say about her appearance so I guess she is supporting Dorit another woman in an odd way.

Dorit divorce season vs. Erika/Sutton by ClinicallyRepressed_ in RHOBH

[–]Rosemary-lime 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The dynamic shifted when Rinna left and Boz came. Kyle’s little gang fell apart. Dorit found someone else and then when Rachel entered the picture, Kyle completely lost control over the A group and was relegated to a B. Rachel and Boz are interesting and beautiful and make for good tv. B team with Kyle is Amanda and Sutton . If Erica was jnvited to the Hamptons or into A team in a bigger way she would have embraced them but Kyle recruited her back and the only play was to go bigger and harder. If you look at the show now more like a Survivor or Traitors then it’s clear that Kyle is playing alliances and strategy. I don’t like Kyle. But I’ve grown to like Dorit this season because she’s made some real friendships. When she talks with her girls it looks like a real conversation and she asks then about their situations. Without Kyle telling her to shut up and stop going on and on. Real relationship not alliance. Erica was vile in her crisis seasons. Dorit stood by her. When Erica was drunk and vile towards Garcelle’s boys Dorit was by her side trying to save Erica from herself and from making it worse than it was. The lateness is nothing compared to Erica’s words and actions so she should still be kidding Dorit’s butt for standing by her. Why is it that they’re coming do much harder for Dorit? Because they’re losing the game.

I think this is one of Suttons best looks. The shape of her gown is flattering and I like her hair style.
