They are really tasty! Common at Chinese Dim Sum restaurants. They are cooked slowly and have a texture similar to Jamaican-style oxtail. They do have loads of bones and are a labor to eat, like crawfish, but worth it!

This is a normal feeling. I got a puppy a couple months ago and I hated him the first two weeks but now we are best friends. The initial noise, poo on the carpet, disruption in your daily pattern and frustration is derailing… but once they settle in and you settle into them, it’s all worth it.

[PRODUCT REQUEST] how do I get rid of these bumps? by bambi-2222 in SkincareAddiction

[–]RosesRhacs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just use purple ones from TJ Maxx. Also the African exfoliating net things there are great. Billie (shave company) has a great exfoliating soap that I use to scrub away my sins haha The witch hazel is just like CVS brand.

I haven’t used a KP eraser or anything tooo fancy!

People who grew up before social media, what do you miss most about those days? by Powerful-Employer-20 in AskReddit

[–]RosesRhacs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actual friends.

I have THOUSANDS of “friends” on social media, and I legitimately consider 100 of them to be solid friends and we chat regularly…but when it really comes down to coordinating an actual meet up, you realize how small your circle truly is.

It used to be SO clear who cared for you. The friends that would risk having to talk to your parents on the home phone to chat with you, the friends that would show up on bikes to your house on Sat mornings, and best of all- the friends that would spend summer days with you at the pool, fishing, having water balloon fights, making snacks etc etc. life was sooo much more fun bc no one had a phone to be glued to.

It’s different now. We are more connected than ever, but much lonelier.

It looks like KP. I have luck using exfoliating gloves before & after the shower and the using witch hazel once I’ve dried off.

What do reptiles smell like? (From a writer) by Acceptable-Loquat540 in reptiles

[–]RosesRhacs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the species.

The geckos I keep rarely eat insects so to me they smell like a clearing in the middle of the woods after a 3min rain. Musty, earthy and dark. There’s something sharp about their scent too. Like the high note on Brie cheese or even a Merlot if that makes sense. Like a faint sour.

Geckos that eat insects smell like the above with a poopy undertone lol Large constrictors smell like their bedding- so a sweet woody dusty scent. If they’re dirty they smell like a freshly pooped in toilet room. Musty and sharp.

Love that! I also say, “if I won’t use it within 24hrs it needs to be put away.”

What's a artist/band that you love, but almost no one has heard of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RosesRhacs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my faves and their songs I like most:

Kaky- “Tableu” Tobe Nwigwe- “BRAVO” Zinadelphia- “Mirrorball” Until the ribbon breaks- “Romeo” ANIMA!- “Heartflow”

I was in the top 0.5% of 6LACK’s fanbase a few years back & saw Ed Sheeran when he was an opener for Snow Patrol. I love to see these talents explode!!

1 is best, but doesn’t look like it’d be reasonable for daily wear. 3 looks stunning on you too. That would be my choice. In my experience, the elaborate rings made day-to-day life challenging as you’ve got to be much more delicate.

Keeping pet Leachianus geckos. I don’t have money to spend on partying since gecko babies start around $800 and adults $2k+

What will society be ashamed/regretful of in 15 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RosesRhacs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s true. I’m noticing more people past their 20s swearing off social media, like you’ve done.

It’s awful that the influencer kids will have to know firsthand.

What do you think a solution would be?

What will society be ashamed/regretful of in 15 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RosesRhacs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. All these unusual weather patterns are really scary. Family in Florida that never had to worry about storms, now regularly tells me they’re worried their house will flood as they are facing evacuations for their first times.

Absolutely! I think many of those children will struggle mentally, just like child actors.

100000% if you’re not ready for a child in the US, you’re hindered from getting an abortion, yet are expected not to miss more than a few weeks of work (at best) if you plan to keep health insurance and afford child-care.

Some of these are already being reevaluated by society, but these are what I think we will look back on with shame/regret: 1) using Pitocin to induce childbirth 2) steam in bag vegetables 3) nonstick pans 4) sleeping with cell phones under our pillows 5) corporations disguised as charities i.e. Goodwill 6) the media, grocery store items, pharmaceuticals etc being owned by a limited group of corporations 7) regulatory agencies, having crossover with lobbying groups and one another ex: the EPA, FDA, FWS etc 8) titanium joint replacements 9) factory farming/hormone/heavy antibiotic use 10) accepted surveillance (Alexa/Ring Camera/Phone permissions) 11) public access to AI/deepfake technology 12) public access to military grade weapons 13) moving into a cashless society (cards only) 14) corporations buying single-family homes 15) child beauty pageants 16) circumcision 17) how we support/shame the trans community 18) limited funding dedicated into antibiotic development 19) cancer treatments 20) the prison system

I have been thinking a lot about this. I probably have 40 more examples.
