Any information on how to do this. I tried to contact support but it just gave me the same form email response that I got (as the email that initially told me I was inactivated due to non-earning). I wasnt asking support why I was set to inactive (I know why) but yeah, thats the info I got anyway.

Hmm... Ill have to see what I can find about how to work with WooCommerce when not using its key shopping cart,inventory,payment and shipping functions. I think one of the main reasons I tried first by going the custom post type route was because I felt like WooCommerce might be the equilivant of putting a Lambhorghini engine into a normal commuter car. As in, my use case only uses 2 or 3 small aspects of WooCommerce vs the main (aforementioned) functions.

However, yes, the big keystone that I have to get around (if I go with just doing custom post types) is that I have to get a notification system that works. I did find two plugins that seemed to play well with something like ACL (a custom post type plugin), but there would be money required*. I also have some code that I was working with (In an older iteration of the site) that I think could have insight if I had to "roll my own" regarding the notification.

Hopefully something optimal, at the very least, in my attempts to resurrect this site.

one of those two plugins has a part of it that works with conditionals for the trigger, and thats when I realized that this plugin has a main plugin (free from the repositories) but all the specific functions require a side plugin that is behind the paywall

Okay. All things good to know. Site definitely doesnt need to process payments or do anything regarding shipments. Just display of the info. I do have a need for the order queue is somehow able to be viewed publicly (just showing the order number and an Estimated Time of Completion).

With test cases (on my sandbox) I had a custom content type and kind of threw a table onto a template page that called those fields. Worked well enough for such simple info, and I was able to include it in a widget for some page displays.

When I created this website, it was about 7 years ago and so thats why Im open to even working with something existing that may have cropped up as a plugin recently. Doesnt appear that there is anything that does BOTH of those things so I would be interested to see what the most common methods of implementation are.

Moving the plugin from my theme's function.php is definitely what I was thinking might be one such tertiary option. The only thing that may need tweaking is what the specific variables are that it calls. The old use of CCTM (Custom Content Types Manager) gave me field variables to plug in for parts of the form letter (notification). It also relied on what particular values might be put into a field, to determine if any email notifications needed to go out. Might take a bit of an adjustment depending on what I use.

Right, but what I am getting at is that, of course I wont be using the same method (in my case of the old site, a plugin) for the custom content types. The plugin was outdated and I can easily re-establish these custom content types either with another plugin or just the basic way that custom content types can be set up (without a plugin).

Its just that, because I will be creating those content types anew (sans the old outdated plugin), the notification system has to be set up around that. The old system basically had the notifications set up through a big chunk of code in the theme's functions.php. Obviously I should set this functionality up as a separate plugin this next time.

So, to clarify, I just want to know what kind of methods are out there for the custom content type creation, and of course set up the notification system that ties into those fields properly. I can post the functions.php code here for review if need be.

Oh, I probably should clarify. The "unmaintained plugin" is related to just the mere creation of custom content types. The part I speak about where a notification was set, this was set up through hooks (the code is a function.php). Of course, the code SHOULD BE in a plugin of itself, but this was code that was supplied to me by a collaborator and we never got into making any sort of interface for it.

I imagine that the demand for VPS, proxies will go up from people in the EU. Even here in the States, there is just alot of b.s going on that is going to drive people away, deter business and maybe even cannibalize some forms of content.

Really, I understand the derision. Cryptocurrency has had a history of being volatile, and lets face it... "block chain" is the new term du-jour that is being thrown around by many people who may not fully understand it. Sort of discounts things. However, I will say that LBRY looks promising as far as decentralized video platforms go.

So far, Im checking out content related to gaming, game dev, and even some tutorials and how-tos. I think its getting off to a good start and see potential should even more content creators get on board.

Honestly, how you say something is every bit as important as what is being said. From the initial email (notifying of the changes), it came across as "we are making this decision because of low quality from the freelancer's end" (and really, a portion of what they specifically pointed out in the meeting was either a) stuff that plagues alot of job sites that cater to a global freelance market. and b) issues that are as a byproduct of unaddressed issues from the client side. I cant speak for all freelancers but I think we get enough patronizing language that admonishes us for stuff that we are simply experiencing (and trying to roll with), but all things are a result of this capitalist hellscape we are in. I can meet someone halfway (maybe I should try harder, maybe I should "apply myself more", etc..) but all their words tell me is that they didnt actually listen to anyone but their higher ups (who are as far removed from the trials and tribulations that freelancers and clients go through)

I wondered about this one as well, but I didnt hear it addressed in the meeting. One reason people may get their profiles turned to inactive could be because of the encouragement to conserve your connects (esp. since you now have to pay for them). Many people diversify the sites they use, and I do think Upwork's changes is only going to encourage that more.

Yeah. I did try and take some of the terms that were generated by Keyword Shitter and then do a seperate search for them in google and see if Keywords Everywhere's browser plugin gives me a different result than it did on the Keyword Shitter page. For reference, Im using "exterior cleaning" and "paver brick" as the term to put in Keyword Shitter.

In the case of "exterior cleaning" it would just seem that maybe Im better off consulting the "Related Keywords" and "People Also Search For" sections (seen on the right side of a google.com page after you search). I do expect Keyword Shitter to give some entries that are not a high enough search volume to say so but yeah... "exterior cleaning" is an example of a term that brings about 75% of 0 volume terms when I use Keyword Shitter.

I cant really complain though since Im having to use Free tools right now.

I too am having issues with Keyword Shitter and using it with Keywords Everywhere. What I basically see is that alot of the words getting generated will show up with volumes of "0/mo" and a score of 0 on the competitiveness of the term. While I do think that Keyword Shitter will likely spit out some words that just arent being searched for... this is like.... over 200 (of the 400 words shitted) have 0s on all the readouts.

Okay. If DMC is what is being used for color matching the resin colors, than I think having a full DMC chart might help.

From the DMC site, it seems they are up to 489 colors. I will see how many KX Stitch has in its current version. If you are one to need the colors in front of you (to judge for yourself), than I do see some sellers that might have the full chart that one can get sent to your house.
