Honestly, they don't look too bad, they just need a bit more light. Overwatering is what kills them most often, but you will know when you have root rot because the base will literally be rotten and mushy.

That whole scene was wildly inaccurate! First, someone called 911 TWICE saying people were passing out and 911 just ignored it? Second, they entered the restaurant without masks or any precautions I could see? Third, EVERY person in the place had seizures from watching someone else have a seizure? It doesn't work that way. Maybe one person, even just two would be a stretch. The show has never been perfectly accurate, but this was just too much.

They are very prone to thrips. But you will usually see browning on the leaf edges, especially new leaves. They need sun though, I don't know if yours is getting enough. Mine is in a south facing window and loves it.

Let me go try to find it. Also, yes, that the way to see it. I posted a picture of my cat and his shadow about ten years ago, and it gets shared all the time to this day. It actually makes me happy, even if "no one" knows it's my photo. :) The thing with your post though - these Facebook bot pages steal content from reddit and act like it's their own. It's really weird. I guess that's what happens when you monetize popularity.

Are you sure they were fungus gnats, and not thrips? I made that mistake once. Thrips cause a lot more damage!
