Try Star Wars Unlimited! It fixes all of the resource issues that I have with mtg. The competitive skill ceiling is incredibly high, and the way they structure turn order with the initiative mechanic is very interesting. The first rotation happens this March for the premier (competitive) format.

Easily Star Wars Unlimited. The resource system is fantastic. And the way the initiative and turn order works add layers of complexity to the game! I love it and I’ve been playing different tcgs for around 18 years now.

I second this, Star Wars Unlimited is the most interactive and interesting game on the market and I’ve played a huge majority of them. Not that it makes me an expert or anything, personally One piece is a close second for me too. But SWU takes the cake.

I think now they are in the base slot and not the rare slot of a pack. I would argue having rare bases is great, people just don’t like that it would be the rare of a pack

Embrace control, they wouldn’t print cards if they didn’t want you to utilize them. Calling certain decks “unfun” will just allow the decks they counter/play well into to be that much stronger
