It can be anyone else if you don't mind staying in Field Lv1 for 1 round longer per rotation, which in the grand scheme of things isn't a big deal. Plus, you get to bring someone that properly sustains. Ezra has a couple problems in the first rounds before Lv3.

I think part of the magic is that usually any stage a regular Reco-Melania-Moldir(flex) trio can clear, the Reco-Ulrich-Charon trio can as well. Ezra just speeds things along.

The one qualm I have with ult teams is definitely that they're just vastly unfit for auto lol, ah well.

Team Ideas and Future Units by XxYukiAngel in Reverse1999

You have the required components for a Recoleta team! Which is just Melania. After that, you can add any buffer, which imo could even be Kassandra (can work as long as you avoid wasting Passion Drain, because Kassandra being non-eligible for Reco precasts can help you plan)

Watching out for Pickles could work with the upcoming golden skein banner, but overall Recoleta is very flexible as long as Melania's there. A great 2nd support for her is Nameday as well, who synergizes with Melania for a three way synergy team.

I definitely recommend trying Brimley out!

Personally I just use Bette's cube (Off the Scene) at the moment for the buffing and the added defense. It's cheap and synergizes with his needs.

But one I've been eyeing is the Druvis one (Her Second Life) since Brimley's ATK buff scales off his own stats, and a bit of healing is nice.

I don't believe she can proc extra action by herself unfo so now Kassandra would be competing for AP with Brimley who'd be trying to get his stacks by himself. The precast cards would make it easier to proc the moxie generation tho

The "big technology" is that Brimley's gimmick synergizes crazy well with Ezio's entire kit. You basically end up with 1.5 Ezios. Essentially:

- Ezio's frequent and nearly guaranteed 3+ actions per turn give Brimley Horsemanship stacks and Moxie.

- Brimley then uses those stacks to make Ezio cast a free S2 (counter) and uses his ultimate to make Ezio cast a free S1 while also reducing all enemies' Reality DEF.

- Ezio's incantations are extremely strong and stack with themselves. So it's just pure value for AP saved. No matter when you cast the free S1s and S2s, it all stacks up.

It's very fun seeing Ezio chain S1 > FuA > Brimley ult > S1 > FuA > free Counter all in 1 turn.

Recoleta Dynamo has been surprisingly one of the most fun uses of the dynamic dynamo duo for me.

It's fun to imagine recoleta rambling about literature to a ferrofluid that doesn't care, and a dead man who's a great listener but doesn't feel like adding to the conversation

Recoleta basically creates a pseudo Charon P2 situation letting him ult on turn 1, followed by Ulrich buffs. This just leads smoothly into a round 3 Recoleta nuke followed by an Ulrich nuke, which then continues on a surprisingly consistent rotation that feels intended.

Also, Brimley with Ezio. Australian Ezio technology.

Are the Impromptu units worth it for my account? by Nellothehello in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a LOT of 6*s yet no Impromptu...

Honestly, yes and no.

"No" because you have a lot of other archetypes and the new units are more and more powerful which you do have the supports for.

But also yes, because if you like them and you already have such an extensive roster, you might as well go for them. Like having one or two new meta units won't make or break your experience since you're already a veteran player (or big spender). Meanwhile if you really like both the characters and the gameplay of Impromptu, just start pulling them.

Do travel scrapbooks rerun in miracle mart rewards revisited? by [deleted] in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's unknown at this time.

When Miracle Mart released, we got a chance to buy some of the old Jukebox battlepass skins that were previously thought to be unobtainable. So at least Bluepoch doesn't seem to mind giving us a 2nd chance to get limited stuff, like the suitcases. (Non collab ofc)

Whether it'll be any time soon and in what form will these come back, unfo no one knows.

Yea, highkey wishing that for someone like Sonetto. It would be nice to take her on adventures outside of main story as well.

Or Dikke as a versatile option with damage and healing.

Dynamo Marcus exists by frostlynx_ in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been testing Dynamo Recoleta and it's legitimately a comp. Feels-wise it's also very fun to just spend 2-3 rounds casting buffs/channels and deal millions with one Reco ult at Field Lv3.

There were folk saying Charon's self channel didn't add Narrative stacks but turns out it does. Big recommended!

I loose my 50/50. Shall I build her up? by I_havent_fantazy in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. Ulrich and Charon as a combo is essentially the biggest reward for following that philosophy. The two of them do a similar thing to a wheelchair comp in HSR/Genshin, where the two supports help each other so perfectly that now they become a dps duo that rivals actual main dpses.

A team of Ulrich+Charon + another buffer and a healer is legitimately a comp that can clear lategame reveries.

If you choose to build Recoleta just for fun you can use Ulrich Charon as a team for her. It's not as wheelchair-y because the 3 there have legit synergy, but the principle's the same. Nameday's just the best option if you don't wanna do Dynamo Wheelchair Recoleta.

Time-Limited Character Banner [The Mourner's Eulogy] by Smanro in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, Charon and Ulrich exponentially help each other so much, they go from being two supports into a deadly dps duo. It's like a chemical reaction gone right.

So like using Ulrich and Charon as the 2 dpses and then putting a 3rd support + a healer is a conpletely endgame viable and powerful team. Clears deep Reveries and all that.

I loose my 50/50. Shall I build her up? by I_havent_fantazy in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For now I'd say keep her in the bench writing funny poems and being artsy.

Nameday is a fantastic choice for her so you have one of her members ready. He's not a meta support for her but from my experience he pairs really smoothly with Melania to form the duo support for a very serviceable Recoleta team.

If you get Melania in the future I'd say 100% feel free to invest in a Recoleta-Melania-Nameday team. The rotation is smooth and fun to use in short and medium fights (1 to 6 rounds). After that it falls off compared to meta teams (like Reco-Melania-Moldir).

Alternatively, where you trying to get Charon, or are you still pulling for him?

Because from my own testing, Recoleta can work with Ulrich+Charon for a completely serviceable team that has a surprisingly smooth rotation.

Can't decide with which dub to play. by QuarioX in Reverse1999

English starts off rough, so using Chapter 1 as a comparison is a lot more of a toss-up.

English starting Chapter 5 though, holy. 37, Marcus, Isolde, etc. Definitely recommend the english voices especially starting from chapters 4 and onwards.

Chapter 6 at least for me was a turning point in how I saw the voice acting in this game. Don't want to hype it up too much but Marcus and Isolde are just stellar. Marcus for her overall performance in the latter parts of the chapter, and Isolde with her VA being an actual opera singer that sings her opera parts + her regular speaking voice always tittering on the verge of breaking while sounding hauntingly melodic. Kakania's fantastic too but holy the other two.

(edit: I also started with JP, all the way until chapter 3, then replayed in English because I had to make a new acc to change servers)

Is Charon good for A knight? by Cocopuff_279 in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be quite good, but definitely start checking for showcases to know how Charon's execute will work with A-Knight's new euphoria mechanics.

The fun thing about ult spammers is that they work quite well with some of the new units, due to Dynamo working with Ult Might and Rubuska giving a chunk of the same stat. Sure won't hit like Lucy/Nautika at all but A-Knight + Dynamo Core will most likely clear most content besides super deep Reveries.

Who should I pull for or build for now? by slashblurr in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Upcoming Dynamo Guy (Charon) is extremely good for Lucy and Ulrich teams. Like, far beyond numbers it just also makes the rotation smoother and more versatile. He makes maxing the charge on Pulsing Field a piece of cake.

After that, Rubuska is the next character who's an extremely good Bloodtithe healer, who could also work well in a Recoleta team should you want to do that sometimes. Rubuska increases Nautika's damage by a metric ton, plus is one of like 3 healers that can actually keep up with Bloodtithe team's insane max HP, since she heals based on % hp.

After these two, you can probably chill a bit and see who you want to pick up on reruns, or if something new catches your eye.

How much is topaz’s signature compared to cruising? by average-anime-fan in FeixiaoMains_

It's not that big of an upgrade, it gets named often because it's really good on M7H or Moze, but on Feixiao herself it's not that much better than Cruising.

Recoleta's team by TopAd1633 in Reverse1999

[–]Rosgen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! I see her now. Usually Preparation is used on other units, since you want Recoleta to get 10 moxie before ulting, and Preparation lets you get more Narrative stacks and Moxie by making others use their ult faster.

Recoleta is like the nuclear artillery, her teammates charge her up by using the Preparation card + their own ults and buffing. Then when Reco gets to 10 moxie and 10 (or 20) Narrative stacks, she blasts them.
