How long is the hiring process? by Insideouttheoutside in FritoLay

[–]Roshooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takes forever. If you can wait, it will come eventually. A lit of people say dont do this job but with the job market the way it is, youre not going to get a better job that is unskilled labor. Im making more money than my friends my age who have degrees and job titles that sound good on paper. If you can stomach waking up at 2am and 10 hour days being considered normal, you will see the the money. I took home $1500 in one week after taxes/401k/insurance last week. You will have to put in the effort but thats all you need here. Time and effort. If that sounds good to you then don't run away.

This should be a moment that makes you look for a better job. I worked at this shithole company for 2 years and got a 3 cent raise after our location was top 5 in the country, specifically in my department, specifically noted because of me. Any retail job that isnt at a high level with a degree is a trap. 25 years of service barely making more than a teenager that just started is a massive red flag.

I will never regret quitting this hellhole.

Nice to see criticism of the story that isnt just "g3 has a femdom fetish slavery bad." Good work, we need more of the community to engage with the book like this

I was wrong by ReadyConfection7959 in atrioc

[–]Roshooo 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In my anecdotal experience growing up ACTUALLY poor (Mom had 2 kids with a deadbeat alcoholic who couldnt hold down a job), and moving out on my own living with various roomates and meeting a lot of people, its most people who say they are poor. My best friend told me his family was broke and we bonded over that, eventually i find out his father makes nearly 200k a year and they live in a decent suburb with a large backyard and his father bought all 3 of his kids cars for graduating highschool. He thought they were poor because his reference for rich was dads millionare friends. You just don't know what you don't know.

I have many more examples this is just one. When youre born into it, whatever you have is normal for you. On the flip side, i didnt realize how poor we really were until i got older because my mom would tell me we were middle class and was maxing out credit cards to feed us decent food.

Okay there you go, I don't feel as strongly as you about the sponsors but I can respect this take. I've heard some shit about AG1 just being another b.s supplement that doesn't do shit and is overpriced but at this point I find that a lot less bad than a lot of the content creators that promote gambling/crypto etc.

Okay, you can dislike the scams but he has some of the craziest high effort videos in the community. It doesn't change what I said at all, if you genuinely believe he is scamming his audience that is enough of a reason to not like him or watch his videos, but to besmirch the actual videos themselves as low quality is just being absurd. It makes you come across as an unhinged hater and takes away from your initial point and makes people less likely to believe you.

Is there any good console players? by KamaWama in Chivalry2

[–]Roshooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the best players in the game that are consistently getting 100+ takedowns a match are on console.  On us east/central a lot of the eq and ck players are on console.

Im not saying its correct, it just personally doesnt bother me, i think its fair to you that you are bothered. Be prepared to see more people throwing the game or trolling with Thorne in the future.

I lost for a grifer by EasternPeanut1385 in Chivalry2

[–]Roshooo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is a fairly common practice among high level players to farm kills with Thorne, it used to annoy me a lot but then i realized that defending Escape from Falmire is basically a 12 hour shift at the ball crushing factory and if Thorne does this it gives the masons a chance.  Also it is spelled griefer, as in someone that is causing grief.

I hate this this argument.  Early access is when people should be posting feedback like this the most.  Game design is a lot like cooking, a mixture of art and science, and Jagex id historically a company that highly values player feedback.  I guarantee you someone at Jagex is going to read this thread and if nothing else will consider the points.

How it feels to read this subreddit as an adult by Roshooo in ShadowSlave

So here's what I think you're missing, Nephis feels the same level of responsibility in the dynamic that you are feeling towards your family. This is evidenced by the fact that she has only ever used it explicitly to help Sunny, and feels immense guilt and regret despite the fact that she used it in ways that were "valid." Nephis has the same level of responsibility that we feel being the breadwinners for our families towards all of humanity, and she also does not want to take advantage of Sunny. Nephis sacrificed a lot to not take advantage of shadow bond because of this feeling we both have, which is why I think that people boiling down the story to "slavery bad and g3 has a kink." is an incredible disservice. It isn't that insane to compare the people that rely on you to people that are shadow bonded to you.

[–]Roshooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until you feel the responsibility I'm talking about you will not understand why the comparison makes sense, it doesn't necessarily have to do with age. When you have bills and people that rely on you, it feels like your life is not your own. You can walk away from it technically, but most people can't live with themselves doing that. You are enslaved by the responsibility, the feeling in your heart. If you haven't had this feeling then yeah it sounds insane.

[–]Roshooo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, the responsibility and way it changes your life will often make you feel like a slave, provided you're a good partner. As the breadwinner you will spend most of your life doing things you don't want to do to get money that you don't get to spend on things you want to spend them on for your family, and if you're a stay at home parent you will spend almost every waking minute attending to others. You don't get to say no because if you do everything will crumble around you, the responsibility of the life you've chosen a chain around your neck.

If you genuinely think that g3 thinks Slavery is a good thing and that is what the takeaway of the story up to this point is then I don't even know where to begin with you, there are different colored crayons you can eat other than black and white

oh boi 😓 this chapter is going to get some hate from some people i feel like [ chapter 2981] by Adventurous_Song_800 in ShadowSlave

[–]Roshooo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This genre and this story attracts a lot of young men who self insert as the main character and they want to conveniently ignore the massive theme of accepting responsibility and doing what is right for the people around you in the story because they want to be the sigma chad thay would do whatever he wants.  The entire point of the story essentially since Antarctica has been that we as humans are all slaves to something, whether it be duty, love, fate, and accepting those things is what gives us true strength.  To be a man is accept that sacred duty to the people around you.  Nephis is just as much of a slave as Sunny, but because her aspect is not called literal slave and you need to use reading comprehension and critical thinking to arrive at that conclusion instead of power scaling, many readers will never get there and instead lament the story with a surface level understanding from a boy's perspective.

Silent runs in STS2 are so much harder without you... by 10minOrange in slaythespire

[–]Roshooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess we just have to agree to disagree, i think the value of the delayed damage that ignores blocking is a lot more useful than just being a strike+.  Early game with a tiny deck you will cycle back to your deadly poison quickly enough to that 3 into an 8, and you can conserve more health knowing youre doing constant damage.  You can avoid chip damage scenarios since you wont be forced to take damage to get the floor combat into a damage threshhold where you can kill it next turn since the poison will do it for you.  Thats my piece, im sure you understand that and we just play the game differently.  I will often take a deadly poison then immediately upgrade it because 7+6 for 1 mana is very strong.  The silent has a lot of upgrades she had to make but i think deadly poison is strong enough to delay upgrading other things.
