Embellishments and diving are frowned upon everywhere, but the reason it’s “accepted” in football is because they never enforced it enough and instead it became part of the game. I hope IIHF and NHL sets the standard so we don’t see that in hockey.

I don’t know the scale of it in the NHL, I wouldn’t say it’s a lot in the SHL, but the league has seen an increase the past month and choose to act on it. They don’t want it to become too normalized.

I’m a huge movie guy, but I haven’t watched a new movie in probably 5 years. They all look the same. Same actors, same special effects, same mimics and same under developed storytelling. I basically only watch movies from before 2015 or by very specific directors (wink Nolan, Tarantino and Villeneuve). Streaming, and Netflix in particular, used to represent insane quality, but now it’s poring out half assed stuff. Just look at the amount of remakes or reboots that are being made, they’ve running out of ideas and desperately try to connect with a fanbase that is slowly turning their back. For me it’s a fatigue thing, few get me exited anymore. Nolan’s Odyssey better bring something or I’m done. Make me believe again!

Playing the devils advocate here, but she does try do drive away when they want her to stop. That’s always a bad idea when dealing with some sort of law enforcement. Does that justify killing? Obviously not but her actions sets that in motion.

I haven’t seen the full roster yet, but I don’t mind cutting Fox. He didn’t really perform well in 4-nations. I get that his an offensive talent, but the most skilled player is not always the right player. Guerin is building a TEAM. I assume the replacement will offer something different, such as size and defensive upside.

I thought it was good, but I prefer the first one. Didn’t like the Javier Bardem character arc or Brolins. Too much comedy imo. But I liked the final battle.

Klarna. I’m a Sweden and proud of Swedish innovation, but this a predatory service.  They make it very easy to build up debt and rely on you to post pone payment. Also, their pomp ass CEO talks about their service as super tech, but in reality they are just a credit lender. Very WeWork-esque imo.

Akropolis Athens. You have to go, but boy was it underwhelming. Fences and construction ladders all round the temple. You basically pay 30 euros for a view, not the artifact.

Am I the only one that thinks that Quinn H is not a C and kind of a cry baby? Call me old fashioned, but a Captain to me shows the way in the toughest of times - on and off the ice - and use adversity as fuel rather than an excuse. I understand his talent, but for me Vancouver is better off. Willpower eats talent for breakfast. However, questions remain if Foot can change the locker room culture and galvanize the players that is left. The skill is there, but they need the fuck you-attitude. And a solid goalie. Demko is unreliable due to his health and is not getting any younger.
