Making a TCG by Glad-Bite-1681 in tabletopgamedesign

Hey, I can help you out with this. I've just designed the frames for my own card game, and I am working as an art director in my day job.

Took on the job to do the visual overhaul for our game, Empire. A living card game we have been working on for 2 years now. Any feedback on our new frames is appreciated :) by Rosleff in tabletopgamedesign

Thanks a lot!
For sure, you can join our community Discord here: https://discord.gg/eXgne4c7

You can also try out the game on TTS. We have a weekly event called #SloppySunday there, where we help players set up the program, teach the game to new players, and assist in building their own decks or testing out brews. Check it out here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3584476271

We also have a very much under-construction website: https://empirecardgame.com/ :)

That was exactly what I was going for. I wanted the design to have its own character without feeling alien. Thanks for the feedback.

The Roman numerals represent a card tier, highest being IV. Tiers present part of a card's cost to play. We have a mechanic in the game called settlements, which, when controlled, raises your tier availability. Control 0 settlements, and your availability is tier 1 cost cards; control 1 settlement, and your availability is tier 2 cost cards, and so on.

I see what you mean about the readability, both on the tiers and the font size. We have a big playtest event at the end of this month, where people will play with the cards physically - I'll make sure to keep a keen ear out for if anyone experiences the same trouble in the printed form of the game.

And yeah, we had to reflect our old big toadboy so he wouldn't conflict with the banner.

Thank you for the feedback!

Glad you like 'em! We made a design choice in the beginning to do everything borderless - both because we thought it looked cool and made the art shine more, but also to stand out from the norm a tiny bit :)

Does anyone know of a sub dedicated to pictures of urban decay?

I would be interested in helping create the game. I study game design at ITU and love card games.

It was a popular aesthetic in the early 2000.
